- Tyree St. Louis- The left tackle of the future. Ideal arm length and excellent feet.
- Richard McIntosh- Huge, athletic basketball player who took the next step as a senior.
- Mark Walton- Complete player who can catch and run. Deceptively explosive and can jump out of the gym.
- Jaquan Johnson- Versatile, instinctive playmaker who will contribute from Day One as slot corner and safety.
- Charles Perry- Excellent LB instincts for a two-way player. Jon Beason game in a Rocky McIntosh frame.
- Scott Patchan- Twitch and motor make him an ideal pass rusher. Needs to stay healthy.
- Robert Knowles- Fluid, natural mover who can accelerate. Lots of untapped potential- will blow up in college.
- Bar Milo- Body of a tackle, but I see him as a mauling guard. Explosive finisher.
- Lawrence Cager- Champion high jumper who reminds me of Justin Hunter. Can he beat physical DBs?
- Kendrick Norton- Big-bodied plugger. Kirby Smart pounded the table for him at Bama.
- Sheldrick Redwine- Very good burst (37-inch VJ) for big guy. Like Artie Burns, he’s a threat to block kicks.
- Evan Shirreffs- Tall, coordinated passer with good arm and smarts. Big hands are a plus.
- Tyler Gauthier- Comes off the ball with bad intentions. Projects at center. Beast in the weight room.
- Jamie Gordinier- Huge LB who can play in space. Will play early as SAM. Scheme fit.
- Michael Jackson- Good feet for a tall CB. Excelled at the camp and All-Star circuit.
- Jahair Jones- Perfect size. Shows good lower-body strength once he’s locked in. Can he handle speed?
- Jerome Washington- Another huge player. Good acceleration. Is he coordinated enough as a receiver?
- James King- Solid all-around player with growth potential. Depth at WILL.
- Ryan Fines- His former coaches speak very highly of him. Blue-collar nose.
- Hayden Maloney- Good frame. Would like to see more pop from him.
- Brendan Loftus- Can’t coach size. A personal favorite of James Coley. Needs to improve footwork.
The hardest guys for me to rank were Shirreffs, Jones and Washington due to competition level. We will learn a lot about Jones and Washington in the spring. When Sandland first got here, it was pretty apparent to me that guys like Walford were in a different league in terms of athleticism. It didn't look that way on film.
Overall, the best thing I can say about this group is that we've had a strong two-year haul at positions that are traditionally hard to fill at Miami (QB, OL and DL). We've underperformed at WR and CB, but those will always be plentiful for whoever the coach is in the future.
