  1. Tyree St. Louis- The left tackle of the future. Ideal arm length and excellent feet.
  2. Richard McIntosh- Huge, athletic basketball player who took the next step as a senior.
  3. Mark Walton- Complete player who can catch and run. Deceptively explosive and can jump out of the gym.
  4. Jaquan Johnson- Versatile, instinctive playmaker who will contribute from Day One as slot corner and safety.
  5. Charles Perry- Excellent LB instincts for a two-way player. Jon Beason game in a Rocky McIntosh frame.
  6. Scott Patchan- Twitch and motor make him an ideal pass rusher. Needs to stay healthy.
  7. Robert Knowles- Fluid, natural mover who can accelerate. Lots of untapped potential- will blow up in college.
  8. Bar Milo- Body of a tackle, but I see him as a mauling guard. Explosive finisher.
  9. Lawrence Cager- Champion high jumper who reminds me of Justin Hunter. Can he beat physical DBs?
  10. Kendrick Norton- Big-bodied plugger. Kirby Smart pounded the table for him at Bama.
  11. Sheldrick Redwine- Very good burst (37-inch VJ) for big guy. Like Artie Burns, he’s a threat to block kicks.
  12. Evan Shirreffs- Tall, coordinated passer with good arm and smarts. Big hands are a plus.
  13. Tyler Gauthier- Comes off the ball with bad intentions. Projects at center. Beast in the weight room.
  14. Jamie Gordinier- Huge LB who can play in space. Will play early as SAM. Scheme fit.
  15. Michael Jackson- Good feet for a tall CB. Excelled at the camp and All-Star circuit.
  16. Jahair Jones- Perfect size. Shows good lower-body strength once he’s locked in. Can he handle speed?
  17. Jerome Washington- Another huge player. Good acceleration. Is he coordinated enough as a receiver?
  18. James King- Solid all-around player with growth potential. Depth at WILL.
  19. Ryan Fines- His former coaches speak very highly of him. Blue-collar nose.
  20. Hayden Maloney- Good frame. Would like to see more pop from him.
  21. Brendan Loftus- Can’t coach size. A personal favorite of James Coley. Needs to improve footwork.

The hardest guys for me to rank were Shirreffs, Jones and Washington due to competition level. We will learn a lot about Jones and Washington in the spring. When Sandland first got here, it was pretty apparent to me that guys like Walford were in a different league in terms of athleticism. It didn't look that way on film.

Overall, the best thing I can say about this group is that we've had a strong two-year haul at positions that are traditionally hard to fill at Miami (QB, OL and DL). We've underperformed at WR and CB, but those will always be plentiful for whoever the coach is in the future.

1. Jaquan Johnson - Most instinctive & cerebral player to step on campus since Ed Reed.... AND he brings serious leadership qualities we haven't seen on this defense in a depressingly long period of time.

This is very good. Troubling part to me is when I draw my cutoff line of the level of player we should be recruiting. I drew it after #10. When I see all the names under that line...it's hard to feel good about this class.

Where is your line?

I'd say 13. I like Shirreffs.

I dont think people are over hyping Jaquan, i think what he did in DADE County football from 9th to 12th Grade is astonishing. his consistency is what people are in aww about and we can only expect his consistency to continue in the college ranks. Jaquan singled handled carried Killian and made their defense dominate for the most part. he posses a lot qualities of an ed reed type player where he may not be the fastest or biggest but he play smart and makes plays consistently. he is my fav recruit of this class and im excited about him. Redwine i agree with. he has a lot of work to do. i think their were a ton CB's way better then him this year.

I like your list D-Money because its not Bias, its based on what players you feel can make it to the NFL or succeeded on the next level.

So you would leave out the best Juco te in the country and a really underrated prospect in Michael Jackson?

1. Mark Walton- Has talent & strength (as a runner) to potentially start over Yearby; will be a consistent tough player that brings IT!
2. Tyree St. Louis - No need to wait, get this guy on the field, beef him up, and invest in him, and he’ll get better each week!
3. Charles Perry- True LB with good instincts, could literally help out on Offense 1st year, lacks DJ Williams strength - but has his potential @ LB!
4. Kendrick Norton- Excellent pickup, DT that understands how to use his power to get push AND his Hands at the same time!!! Great motor!
5. Richard McIntosh - Good strong side DE in the 3-4 scheme, Could develop into a William Joseph @ DT in a 4-3 scheme
6. Jaquan Johnson- Like the kid’s football IQ @ FS, but needs to get in the weight room to reach Bob Sanders potential
7. Bar Milo - Awesome pickup, but may need to gain some strength, but his mean streak will get him playing time @ Guard, IMO
8. Scott Patchan- Pure DE, and not a guy that’ll move down to DT, will have a great career; all the tools!! Get healthy kid!!
9. Robert Knowles- Very fluid guy @ S could probably play CB; weight room will help him in run support & deal with TE’s!
10. Lawrence Cager- Lacks quickness and top end speed as a D1 deep treat, as he develops, will be a great chain moving receiver.
11. James King- Active tough guy who will surprise, needs the more strength & 15-20lbs; same attitude as “Big Country” (Jermaine Grace)
12. Jerome Washington - Inexperienced, will need to prove he can block, which his film doesn’t confirm. Looks good as a pass catcher!
13. Sheldrick Redwine – JR Film looked better than SR film (IMO), would like to see more feistiness!!
14. Evan Shirreffs – Kid doesn’t look that bad, good feet, pretty mobile, looks frail through; weightroom should help
15. Ryan Fines - Will play at 100%, and will be as good as his coaching; good to have an able body try-hard guy in the rotation
16. Michael Jackson – Big body DB, needs to develop footwork & quick hips, lacks top end speed, best position may be at Strong Safety
17. Tyler Gauthier - Next OL in line to see significant playing time this year.
18. Jamie Gordinier – Hard nose guy, that needs to improve footwork & fluidity (coverage liability), potential DE converter.
19. Jahair Jones – Not very impressed, doesn’t look that much more polished than an incoming freshman, for a player from JUCO ranks
20. Hayden Maloney- Redshirt for future depth.
21. Brendan Loftus- Redshirt for future depth

JUcOs have a high bust potential. They are hit or miss, Beau Sandland...

Who says Jackson is underrated as a 3 star?

The kid was in SEC/FSU backyard, yet his only major offer was Clemson, along with teams like Troy, and Southern Miss. Obviously Bama gets to pick which 5 star DBs can play for them these days, but surely a kid with his siZe would get noticed by FSU, AU, or Pruitt at UGA.

When had Golden shown an ability to identify talent that other schools can't see? other than in his coaching hires....
