Randy Shannon is better than Golden

Saying Shannon is better than Golden is like saying cat **** is better than dog ****. With that being said, if Whipple doesn't try to throw the ball 80 times a game and Jacory Harris doesn't get killed against Virginia Shannon might not have lost his job that year.
 
Shannon destroyed this program. Went 5-7 one year. Golden sucks as well. We at least can all agree Shalala ****ed this program hiring imbeciles.

RS didn't destroy the program... He took over a team that went 6-6(not including the bowl) the year prior where the only positives was his defense... He was also a 1st time coach in a much harder ACC Coastal at the time... It's sad that we are comparing 1st time HC's with someone who was supposed to be experienced...

So we're stuck on debating whether Herpes or Warts are worse. FYI as highly coveted as that wizard is by some on here would love to believe Shantard is still an assistant LB coach for Arkansas. What a gig

Randy Shannon lost 51-13 at OU. He also lost 48-0 at home to UVA to close out the Orange Bowl in year one. The next year he lost on the road to GT giving up 472 yards rushing on national tv losing by 18. In his last year he lost at home to FSU 45-17. He then lost at home to USF.
 
I'm still amazed at people calling for Shannon. He is not a CEO type. His sidelines were chinese fire drills. He was not a great recruiter. He had a hard time finding good coaches coach for him. He's a straight up Head Corch. He's a career coordinator. That's it.

If you combined the two you might have a competent coach. As it stands they both suck equally in their own ways.


At least Shannon won something here as a player and an assistant coach though.

Maybe some on this board are too young to remember that 48-0 last game in the OB to Virginia. VIRGINIA! That, my friends, is losing a team. Golden's had plenty of embarrassing losses, but nothing in that zip code.
