It's pointing out flawed logic in some cases bs. For example.... You have people here giving golden credit for developing players but refuse to give Shannon credit for the players that developed under him. If you believe that coaches develop players then assign credit consistently across the board.

I liked Randy but he did not have a meal plan, nor mandatory workouts, nor mandatory film sessions. Players looked and played the same as in high school or worse. Randy's players were developed in the NFL.

Bs. All the players that made all acc and were drafted by the NFL proves this post is made up. Then you look at NFL combine results...all Miami players did just as good or better than their peers at their given position.

No mandatory workouts? No mandatory film sessions? Where did you get that information? You clearly made this up to try to make yourself look good.

You sir are full of ****, do your own research and you will clearly find the evidence and player comments (even Swasey, Golden and NFL coaches) about the lack of the aforementioned. Why do u think they ALL left early? Because Randy let them do whatever they wanted and Al wasn't having it. They left early cuz they didn't want to play for golden. And yea, I've tried to do research over the years and have found nothing cuz it doesn't exist.

Yea, I remember shields and his film issues but that was more of an indictment on him. Why didn't randy Phillips, brandon Harris, dvd, Rollie, meariweathe, taylor, Reed, marshal, rumph and all the other db's that played under Shannon either as a hc or do have this issue?

Pretty dumb and stupid to let one incident label a coach when you have a huge number that proves otherwise. Go ahead and research that.

The Sam Shields story has grown to mythical proportions. It shouldn't be that surprising that Sam had trouble with the CB position when he got to GB. First, Sam was always in the dog house at UM because he was lazy and had bad work habits. Second, Sam never played DB in his life until a few weeks before his final season at UM.

What did you expect him to absorb in that short time? They purposely didn't feed him too much information because they didn't want to big him down in thought. They wanted and needed to take advantage of his athletic ability at CB and pretty much had to tell him, "See that dude? Go cover him."

Carry on with the hate and misery though.

Our last 3 coaches absolutely sucked. This is because the school was too cheap to hire anyone decent. That's the whole story in a nutshell. Coker, Shannon, and Golden are career coordinators. Not good enough to be HC anywhere but UTSA.

I'm beginning to think that PAR is randy shannon or a close relative. i've never seen someone aggressively defend the shannon era like this guy. glad i'm not the only one who noticed the laziness of the program under shannon. with every team you'll always have a few self motivated guys that will get better but as a whole too many players failed to improve over time espcially the qb position. no that's not all directly on randy as a coach but he did hire many sh*tty assistant coaches which kinda means it is directly on randy.

And there you have it folks...guys under Shannon were self motivated and taught themselves but guys under golden were developed by golden. Lmao. Golden still has a love that runs deep with some of these guys.

no the same applies to Golden. Denzel kinda improved despite Golden (although you could argue that Denzel was more instinctive as a frosh). Allen hurns, dorsett, duke, and a few of the offensive lineman fall into that self-motivated category. Flowers just had the talent and measurable from the beginning. the only thing that seemed to improve under golden was the offensive production and the overall conditioning of the team. Randy's guys always seemed to be gassed out by the second qtr which goes back to what i said about him running a lazy program. Golden's guys have the endurance, but the scheme is so putrid and requires them to exert way more energy then they have to. why do you think Randy was such a good coach and please do not deflect like you did on the other thread?

This guy has to be Randy. I was tuned in to 560 ALL day EVERY day during the entire coaching transition and heard every word of what I wrote. I wasn't a member of the team, so I guess everyone could be lying who said all of those issues.

The truth hurts sometimes. UF just paid Golden's entire salary to get their new HC. It's obvious they're the bigger brand, FSU I'd imagine as well. It doesn't change a darn thing, we'll still all be Miami fans and at heart so will Shannon.
