I'm beginning to think that PAR is randy shannon or a close relative. i've never seen someone aggressively defend the shannon era like this guy. glad i'm not the only one who noticed the laziness of the program under shannon. with every team you'll always have a few self motivated guys that will get better but as a whole too many players failed to improve over time espcially the qb position. no that's not all directly on randy as a coach but he did hire many sh*tty assistant coaches which kinda means it is directly on randy.

They left early cuz they didn't want to play for golden. And yea, I've tried to do research over the years and have found nothing cuz it doesn't exist.

Yea, I remember shields and his film issues but that was more of an indictment on him. Why didn't randy Phillips, brandon Harris, dvd, Rollie, meariweathe, taylor, Reed, marshal, rumph and all the other db's that played under Shannon either as a hc or do have this issue?

no the same applies to Golden. Denzel kinda improved despite Golden (although you could argue that Denzel was more instinctive as a frosh). Allen hurns, dorsett, duke, and a few of the offensive lineman fall into that self-motivated category. Flowers just had the talent and measurable from the beginning. the only thing that seemed to improve under golden was the offensive production and the overall conditioning of the team. Randy's guys always seemed to be gassed out by the second qtr which goes back to what i said about him running a lazy program. Golden's guys have the endurance, but the scheme is so putrid and requires them to exert way more energy then they have to. why do you think Randy was such a good coach and please do not deflect like you did on the other thread?

Stop making stuff up hahaa... When our players were lifting among the strongest at their respected positions at the combine proves that your statement is false... When our players were always lauded for their intelligence proved your statement about film session is false... Haha what good is weight session now when we turn it into a club with this staff? And how has the weight regimen hrlped these players when Chich had to lose about 30 lbs to play better in the off-season all star games... Or why is everyone saying Perrymsn is too heavy?

We need something to take our mind off of Golden... Man I can't believe the OP; who proclaims that Al is developing his talent better than the coach tup in Tally, posted this... We know he doesn't mean what he says. However we want him to still bleed orange and green after withholding contractual money... He understood why he was fired but don't think he forgot how the AD didn't allow him to speak to his players when he was fired or how the university didn't want pay him the remainder of his contract... Meanwhile AL squanders the talent in 2011 and begins to do worse in an even weaker ACC yet he gets an extension and is lauded as the next Jimmy and Howard after getting demolished by a 2 win BC squad... This is the last of our problems... I mean we have disgruntled parents of players saying far more damning things about the state of the program...

This is good stuff here. It's easy for people to forget how the school treated him at the end of his tenure. While they've bent over backwards to suck Goldens **** they **** all over a man that was a cane for years. No one is defending Randy's head coaching record, the ******* guy sucked and continued the decline of the canes and its brand. But where's the vitriol for the school that has given the finger to some former players, some current players, the football program as a whole as well as its fans. This school has gone out of its way to **** all over the football program its legacy and those that help build it and those of us that love it. Endurance to finish games? Man there are people who credit Golden for the air these players breathe... Hahaa... The program is in a worst state than when he took over... For anyone to get upset with Lamar Randy after our HC just went 6-7 needs to get their head out the sand... You think anyone cares about this? People want to know how this man went 6-7 with 7 NFL draftees... They want to know why does he have a job after going 6-7.... Our board is ridiculous we have people who support an outside coach who wanted to leave this program and begged for a new offer only to be rejected... All he has to do is just continue to underachieve while getting paid like a successful coach... However he doesn't even want that and people show him more love than the former players and coaches that contributed to the U... That's s disgrace.... Are we really upset with Lamar Thomas and Randy Shannon, where we just berate them so we can get away from the reality of what Golden is doing? I've seen people even dog the players in order to protect Al.... Why so much love for an outsider that has contributed anything to this program?

Because they didn't want to do what Golden was making them do, when they weren't made with Randy. 5 of your examples were under the development of Butch Davis, the others are laughable.
