Makes sense that all of Golden's corches end up in the Big 10.

Looking at Melvin's resume, this seems to be a trend for him.

Nice to see him get a gig and a Power 5 one. Not saying it was a big one but did feel like he was a slight upgrade from Jethro. It's always telling to see where staff members end up after a new staff is brought in. Our previous staff getting picked up at bottom feeding B10 schools reflects how we performed while they were coaching our players. Still can't believe that Paul Williams was hired there and likely got the job because he coached at Miami

Williams didn't get the job because he worked at UM.
It was more to do with Williams knowing the Illini HC Cubit from their days at UofDelaware.
That and the fact that not many, if any, elite assistants will want anything to do with Illini job.

That and the fact that not many, if any, elite assistants will want anything to do with Illini job.

nice observation and wasn't aware of that. they will continue to remain awful as the hiring of the HC was a mess from the AD.
