Rambo (vs Hurns)

Malik Rosier has Miamis single season TD record. These new records can't be compared to historical records.

1 Allen Hurns 1,162 2013
2 Leonard Hankerson 1,156 2010
3 Eddie Brown 1,114 1984
4 Andre Johnson 1,092 2002
5 Wesley Carroll 952 1990
6 Ahmmon Richards 934 2016
7 Santana Moss 899 1999
8 Phillip Dorsett 871 2014
9 Michael Irvin 868 1986

I’m not saying he is better than any of these guys but he should be thought of one of our best transfers and we had some great ones

Yeah... Allen and Hankerson were obviously very good players (at least for one season with Hankerson), but they (and Rambo) don't hold a candle to Andre and Santana (and I am sure several players from before 1999, but I did not see those players as they were before my time).

As others mentioned, the modern day offenses certainly have inflated the stats and the additional game(s) per season have done so as well. In the case of Andre and Santana, they had so many other good players around them also getting the ball (of course that also means the defense couldn't focus solely on them as much).

Anyone know of any sites that adjust stats by when they happened? For example if you had X receiving yards in 1995 it is roughly equal to 1.3X receiving yards today? I did a search, but couldn't find what I was looking for.

I wasn't disagreeing. I just wanted to point out that you can't compare these guys off stats alone. Otherwise Rosier, who is the worst starting Miami QB that I can think of, would be the GOAT at the U.

Today’s game has warped stats. Dudes growing up watching football now aren’t going to realize how good these older dudes were.

IMO far more likely X and Key see more targets these upcoming weeks due to everyone zeroing in on Rambo. Probably the main reason he comes up short
