Quinton Flowers 5 TDs vs Miami Edison

I don't see the harm in giving him and Treon their shots at QB. If one works out, great we found a QB, the hardest position to find. If not, move them or let them transfer...gotta figure one or the other sees the light and we have ourselves a player.

Our QB situation is set.... Florida's isnt, well at least in terms of depth.

It's a smart move by Florida b/c he is talented and i'm sure they will seriously give Quinton a shot at QB. He could possibly be a QB at UF permanently.

Tyler Murphy was just a 2 star QB w/ less offers at QB then Flowers and he is showing more promise then Driskel.

Miami doesnt need Flowers or Harris as a QB, they arent going to beat out Olsen or Kaaya..... Harris and Flowers can both redshirt at FSU and Florida and then get their opportunities to compete after Winston leaves at FSU, and after Murphy leaves at Florida.
 
UF also has Will Grier the #3 rated QB in this class. Flowers will never see the field there at QB.

well you never know..... i'm sure Tyler Murphy wasnt expected to see the field either.

You need competition anyway, cant just give Grier the job.

I always wondered was it ever really a fair fight with Driskell and Brissette. I don't think Jacoby was that good but Driskell is terrible and it seemed like only injury could take Driskell out of that spot. Now look at Murphy and he's better then Driskell so never know Muschamp might just have "his guy"

True, I could see how that would happen if a local, highly respected kid doesn't get his shot...at least as far as they perceive it. But I think Flowers isn't as dead set on playing QB as Treon is. I mean they say he contacted UF with the possibility of playing safety, Bama wants him at receiver, and Tennessee wants him as a receiver/safety. He's a Miami fan so I'm sure you guys could snag him still. Just seems like a weird situation.
 
We can't do as UF and FSU with these kids. They are picking a choosing kids down here. This is not their backyard. Everyone w e recruit down here it has a lateral effect whether good or bad so we can't lie to these kids. It gets around and quite fast too.

Miami likes big pro style QBs....its always been that way and it hasn't changed.
 
i dont buy into all that BS about having a shot at QB. you are wasting time focus on the position you have a future a running QB in the NFL means a lot of broken bones TH & WF will never be pocket QBs they dont even try to be

Yeah, I see that as well. Kid is a gifted playmaker and based on the Treon stuff, he knows where Golden stands on QB - Winky ain't coming here as a QB. that said, we are running out of spots and he only gets in if either 1) Dixon/Lane/Cook/Rudolph say no to us, or, 2) NCAA comes back and tells us no further schollie limits and we can ramp back up to 85.
