2027 Quinton Cypher 4* LB from Raleigh, NC (Millbrook HS) Commits to OSU

Can't be worse than that Cheatagan vs Indiana game Saturday. I went back and watched it since I was watching our game and missed it on Saturday and holy ****. 6-6 at the end of regulation. Indiana had 212 total yards, and that includes the 25 they got in overtime. Both teams were combined 10/34 on 3rd down. Indiana completed ZERO passes in the 2nd half, Hoover went 8/18 for the whole game. Just putrid.

And that was IU w/ two possible first round WR's and a handpicked QB. Gosh awful.

I feel like they can easily win out with a backup QB.
Easily
They're still the favorite to win the rest of their games and the B1G.

I'm not saying it'll be easy to win every game. Just saying they could still win out.

You did say it. Two weeks ago 5 ranked teams lost to unranked teams. OSU doesn’t have an easy path with a QB 2 with zero starts and limited playing time.

I wonder if we are seriously after him. I ask because this class is basically full and we have 2 LB commits already. We brought in atleast 3 last year. If so, they must not be happy with atleast one of the freshman LB. In his post Pitt presser, Mario alluded to not being happy with the youngsters and insinuating some might not belong here. Mario is ruthless man.

3 LB commits currently depending on what you think about AJ Randle.

And...

The Oh ST vs Cheatagain game might be the worst Football game in the last 20+ years.

That's gonna be a pure sledge match of nothing but hands-off, punts & turnovers.

First team to score 6 points wins, type game.

I wouldn't say easily. But I can see them winning out too. The hardest game is probably northwestern which is crazy to think. It would be Michigan who has a great defense but their offense is complete ****. I have a strange feeling this will be exactly what I try and explain would be the case here where if we had a backup QB playing all we would do is dial the offense down and rely on higher probability plays. We can't act like they don't have a good running game. Yes now the box will get stacked. But when you have the type of receivers that they have even a backup can get away with stuff.

Wonder who Mario is speaking of? Wiley?

Luke Fahey has never started a game in college and looked unprepared going 0/2 in relief of Sayin to ice the game against Indiana.

Sayin is basically throwing jump-balls for Smith to rescue them in competitive games; so, respectfully, where is this confidence to win out coming from?

Yeah I think there's a path where they win the rest of their games easily. I'm not saying it's the most likely path or that'll happen but they could win the rest of their games by 2+ scores.

For reference, USC just lost 24-7. I don't think it's extreme to say that Ohio state with their backup QB is better than Wisconsin.
