Quick Leonard Fournette Update

If I was an offensive player, especially at the position with the shortest professional lifespan, I'm not sure I'd want to rush into the meat grinder that is SEC football. There are plenty of reasons to want to play the SEC, I get that. But if I'm making the decision based on what's going to be best for me when it comes time to enter the draft, a couple or three years of gaudy numbers against ACC competition and showing up at the combine with low mileage would be looking really good to me.

I'm so sick of this inferiority complex. If Clemson beats Georgia does this stop or will you need to wait for us to embarrass Florida?

UF has won 7 of the last 10 games against FSU
Georgia has won 9 of the last 10 games against GTech (the only lost was by 3 pts)
Clemson split 5-5 the last 10 games against USCe

Other then FSU, Clemson and UM who in the ACC can even touch the SEC?

North Carolina will beat South Carolina.

Oh! Well, that settles that.

I'm not saying the SEC is not the stronger conference right now. Bid deal. The inferiority complex is writing about them like they are so **** untouchable. We should want a recruit to come here because the SEC is big and scary and might hurt him. EFF that. We are trying to get back to competing for NCs and those type of players won't cut it.

My comment about about a couple ACC wins was not meant to suggest that it will prove we have the best conference. I just hope it gets some folks off the SEC jock.

My man, honest question. Can you read? As in letters combined into words and then into sentences?

I'm not saying that's what UM is, or even should be selling. I'm saying if I were a player at a position that had a life expectancy of 3.5 years in the NFL, and getting there and providing for my family was important to me, I would have to consider taking steps to make sure I had as long a career as possible, that's all.

I mean if he signed with UM because he thought the RB depth chart looked real favorable to him, would you complain? Would you suddenly change your mind about wanting him here because he went to UM due to less competition? Probably not right? Kids make decisions based on what is best for them and their families.

That honest question was not cordial. But I'll answer anyway: yes, but not very well. In any event, I stand by my assessment that your "meat grinder" and "gaudy numbers" comment evidenced an unhealthy awe of the mighty SEC. I hope for all our sakes that we can knock them off the pedestal soon.

This kid is a pipe dream, IMO. Don't fault the staff for trying, though.

Given Al's understanding of the psychological aspects of the game, it wouldnt surprise me if our staff is staying on this kid just to further create the buzz over who is considering us....and of course still trying to land him.

I've got no problem with it. Al's said we've got to get away from the inferiority complex, so he's out trying to climb a hill to get a kid who has no real reason to go anywhere but LSU or Bama.

Yes. I was just getting ready to start a thread saying ,"the guy that wasn't impressed with his highlights should turn to espn2"
