Dan with the late night recruiting tip. A Leonard. Duke, yearby backfield. Sweet lawd!!!

W/R/T Fournette, I can't help but think that the staff wouldn't be bothering with him if they thought they had a chance to flip Cook.

This could be Al's DJ Williams moment.

what was DJ Williams recruitment all about?.... i didnt know about this world back then.
#1 overall recruit. All-Everything from California. Most people thought Butch was wasting his time.

Not only that, but it really was a signal to the world that we were back. No one thought we could pull a guy like that. And before that class, no one outside of Coral Gables really comprehended what Butch was building.

Never ever underestimate the power of Miami's campus. Also check us against those other visits. Now mind you, all awesome places for a recruit, but side by side Miami is definitely a unique experience against the others.

You never know.

Yeah Al Golden lands a player like Fournette the SEC is going to send the NCAA back down to Coral Gables for another 3 years lol.

Also, with the class we have coming in at offensive line.... that cant hurt our chances.

We need Edge, Portis and McGahee to come down for a visit whenever this kid is in town.

People thougth DJ was one kid who could go straight to NFL out of HS. He was serious menfolk. If the staff pulls this kid out of SEC heartland, there is nothing they cannot do. If we pop swamp scum in mouth and Duke lays the wood on them, and play for ACC title, I think Al and freinds have a chance. Hurlie seems to have some magic potion going on. People in Louisiana will jumps off roofs if we take him away. With him, Duke, and Yearby Olsen will lead us to promise land as redshirt freshman, just like Kosar.

  • Says Alabama, LSU, Florida, and Miami will get OVs
  • Says Michigan or USC will get his last OV
  • Says he doesn't have a leader yet
  • His HS coach says it's a 50/50 battle between Alabama and LSU
  • Fournette says LSU RBs Coach Frank Wilson and Alabama RBs Coach Burton Burns are great coaches
  • Says he thinks Alabama and LSU have both offered his brother, 2015 all-purpose back Lanard Fournette

when I was in the bay area I saw dj play a couple times at de la sale (highschool) during their most dominant era. I didn't know you could be so confident needing 20 yards running a dive.
there is a quote about him...
http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/sports/football/2004draft/Williams,Dj-OLB-Miami.htm
...Football announcer and former Oakland Raiders head coach John Madden once commented at D.J.'s high school banquet during Williams' senior year that the star linebacker was the only player he saw who could ever go from high school directly to the pros

Leonard Fournette 24/7 Article

- Alabama, LSU, UF and UM will all get ov and Michigan might get the last one

-Doesnt have a leader but as time goes on he and his parents will workon picking the right school for himself

-HC thinks it's easily a LSU vs. Bama battle because of his talent

- He didn't watch College Football growing up so he has no favorite team but he does admit he has solid relationship iwith the LSU and Bama rbs coaches (no mention of Hurlie but it was an Alabama site).

- He has a younger brother in the 2015 class that Bama and LSU have offered so that maybe another factor
