Don’t care, love the disrespect to FSU. He’s a really good athlete that has good testing numbers and film on the dline which we need period. Point me a great dlineman that didn’t have an ego or didn’t have an edgy personality , not many of them

They may look stupid to us and for coaches it may make them question his character (strong maybe) , but all it means is another opportunity for them to sign a talented player . This **** wack but at the end of the day they do this cuz they can. They act like divas because they’re enabled and treated as such by coaches and fans. You think our coaches mad at this ? Nope .

The brand is the school. This is just a larger reflection on where society has evolved over the last 40 years or so.

When I was a kid growing up on Miami Beach, every year we knew our Dolphins team minus the occasional trade and draft. Bob Griese was our QB, AJ Duhe, Nat Moore, Tony Nathan, Duriel Harris, Kuechenberg, Langer, Little, Stephenson... Same if you were a fan of any other team. New England had Steve Grogan, The Jets had Richard Todd...

Mass commercialization with corporate sponsors, tv deals and mass dollars changed everything. A lot of kids are fans of players on their fantasy teams more than having love for the home team. It's just filtered down to these young people from the examples and marketing above.

Anytime I see one of these kids who doesn't play games and sticks by their word, like Shaq Quarterman, I know that in most likelihood, there was a positive adult with values guiding them through things in life.

And the thing is that it's also a testament to those kids to choose differently than their peers. You know @UknowWhat and parents and big brothers, uncles like @Brooklyndee should be commended along with the kids.

Unfortunately, this example is more typical of where we are today and I'd prefer to avoid this circus.

Nesta has an edgy personality. Nesta didn't come off as a prima donna like this kid is right now. Talking about your "brand" at the HS level is pretty pathetic.

Spot on in my opinion, HTC. I wish I saw this post of yours before I posted my rant above.

Big money shoe companies, pro sports, a corrupt pharmaceutical and health insurance system, tobacco... And mass marketing with strong branding...they started by setting the example above, each in their own ways and with their own objectives... Now it's just filtered down to the kids. An adult with values guiding young people is essential today as it always has been.

Still, @gogeta4 's comments are funny as shît but there's a deeper problem.
