If he’s not taking visits until next week it’s Howard or they’ll just have to wait until then. That’s why I said if Howard wants in they’d accept it. I just know they were aiming to get this done asap
Other reports have said Rogers is still on the table. Is this true?

I’ve done more research on a few of the guys and what I’ve found is there’s not a huge difference in them. Ward is the flashier option but he’s careless with the ball. Howard has a lower ceiling but he also has a higher floor. I like the power run aspect of his game , plus he’s a great leader and tough as nails. He fits Mario the best imo. At this point I’d be ok with either. All things considered I think he’s an upgrade over last year. The run option would be nice.
He's not afraid to lower his shoulder into a DB and let them know about it after. Got a little bit of an ******* personality in him when he's on the field. Think he'd win people over with that

Lincoln Riley was checking for Howard but CIS thinks he sucks?
I don’t think anyone has said Howard sucks. The issue I have is people calling Ward turnover prone and pretending Howard is better. For example in 2023 with 357 pass attempts Howard had 12 turnovers. In 2023 with 485 pass attempts Ward had 15 turnovers. Both average a turnover roughly once every 30 attempts.

Objectively his stats aren’t GREAT imo. He throws way too many INTs.

FR: 90/168 = 53.6 comp%, 1,178 yds = 7.0 y/a, 8 Td = 4.76 TD%, 10 Int = 5.95 int% // This counts as a very bad year, but it's freshman.

JR: 119/199 = 59.8 comp%, 1,633 yds = 8.21 y/a, 15 TD = 7.54 td%, 4 int = 2.0 int% // This counts as a great year.

SR: 219/357 = 61.3 comp%, 2,643 yds = 7.40 y/a, 24 TD = 6.72 td%, 10 int = 2.8 int% // This counts as a decently good year.

JR+SR: 338/556 = 60.8 comp%, 4,276 yds = 7.69 y/a, 39 TD = 7.01 td%, 14 int = 2.52 int% // Overall thus far, I'd call this a B+ Qb.

Now he adds more with his legs than other QBs. And u like Cam Ward doesn’t appear to have a major fumbling problem. But like Cam Ward has a career 1.6 int%. However Ward has a lower Td% by quite a bit. If Howard can keep his Y/A, TD%, rushing success, and limit his int% to <2% (ideally <1.75%) I think he’s a great take…

I guess I’m just not expecting a player with zero faults. You’re not goin to find that in the portal.

That’s a career completion % under 60. I know numbers don’t always tell the story.

Lincoln Riley also just led a press conference and said he's changing his entire mentality going forward and USC will be a defense first program in how they recruit, play, and practice

so times are a changin'
