He didn't quit his team. A simple search of Holgorsen and redshirt will tell you it was the coach's idea.
How else would you describe deciding to stop playing mid season and then transfer?

This is like someones girl cheating multiple times and then going "Ya but we're still together that's all that matters, bro."
If that's how you want to go at it then sure.
College football media was in an uproar about Holgorsen gaming the system after a rough start to bring back some of his better players for 2020 when all of his transfers were eligible. King wasn't the only starting player to redshirt. I would describe it as a new coach punting on the season and taking a chance that his senior QB from the area would sit and wait and make a run with a perceived stronger team. How else would you describe deciding to stop playing mid season and then transfer?

Y'all hate Jarren for partying too much and want him to leave yet you make a superhero out of a kid that did actually quit his last team.
The only quitter in the QB room is King.
Rofl, sad but might be True, but my boy perry still might prove em all wrong!
In other words the coach told him what was going to happen and he followed orders. You can be as obtuse as you want about the subject. For whatever reason you feel the need to defend a player who appears to care less about his career than you do. This your hill. Enjoy it.In other words King quit and transferred to a new team.
King did the opposite of delusional players who leave early to grab some NFL money - and fail to get a good draft number - if any.
That's planning on King's part.
Now, he's going to get another opportunity to shine.

Jarren quit on himself. He took an opportunity and squandered it. He saw saw his success as the mountain top and failed to see that his climb had just begun, which is not uncommon with young immature players. But, he compounded his situation by being a jackass. Partying at The U has always been an art, students, athletes, whoever. But, that’s what the off season is for NOT in season, especially the night before games. He ***ked up. Does he deserve another chance? Yes, at another program. Good for him, good for them. Wish him wellSo when did Jarren quit?
Good question, fam.Who leaves out of Jarren, Perry, and Tate?
I believe only Jarren.
Again, when did Jarren quit and leave Miami?
He's still playing and he's still on the squad.
Y'all want to eviscerate JW for being immature and missing a practice. At the same time y'all are more than happy to stick up for the kid that did actually quit his team entirely.
Doesn't seem very consistent by even CIS porster standards. But CIS does what it does.
He's still playing? Well, I mean he was suited up and on the field, but I wouldn't exactly call what he was doing "playing"
Yeah he didn't quit he just did so much immature **** that a senior vote had to save him from being kicked off the team. Meanwhile King makes a decision along with his coach to redshirt and he "quit". I guess McCloud quit too. I don't hate Jarren. He's just done nothing that should make anyone defend him.I think Jarren is extremely immature like most the rest of us at 19 years old. He did not however quit.
King did quit.
Yet Jarren is the one y'all hate. Not a very consistent point of view.

i think he is related to Jarren. why else would he be killing king this way? by the way i know its popular on the board to rip JW but i am cool with defending him if thats what you are about. but i do not understand doing it at the expense of king who has come here for two reasons - to win football games and to bolster his draft stock.King enrolls today and we got dudes slurping off Jarren Williams smh lol
