When Malik leaves after next year I think Weldon will give Perry a fight for the starting job. This is what makes you a better team.....competition at EVERY position.

So Rosier is a red-shirt Jr. right? If he doesn't lose out the rest of the season, he will be the returning starter next year. What happens to Perry? Does he get ****ed and transfer?

Why ? I’m sure he will play some in the backup role next year than has 3 more years to start

He doesnt have to get ****ed and leave. Go out in camp and show the coaches you should be the guy.

More than likely Rozier is your starter next year, but Richt isn't going to just hand it to him. How many times have we seen one-year wonders?
Rozier is going to have to work even harder next year to win the starting spot. He's got to keep his head on his shoulder's and be smart because both Perry & Weldon will have learned the playbook, and have bulked up.

This thread juxtaposed with the one about Rosier being on Manning/Maxwell award lists is amusing.

If Rosier plays well the last half of the season, the most likely transfer candidate is Sheriff's.

Malik Rosier has the opportunity to go down as a program changer. Like others have said, he has already exceeded expectations just for himself in the eyes of the fans. The fact he has kept Perry on the bench and we are winning has just elevated everybody. This team cares about winning again finally so Perry has the ultimate platform to compete and earn his spot through practice. I havent even thought about Perry one time all year

You couldn't help nut notice Perry all congratulatory and loving Malik during the game when Malik was successful. I think Malik is all in on Perry and helping him. His own experiences behind Kayaa leading up to his current success should be apparent to Perry, his turn to shine will come. "keep working everyday to get better"

The only issue at qb next year is whether Sheriff comes back. I think he could play somewhere. I think he would have two years of eligibility after sitting out a year.

Exactly.

Another good example is the kid Bryant at Clemson this season. Stuck around, getting his chance, excelled (until he got hurt).

Some of our fans are dumbasses. I'm not even sure they are fans. Why would he transfer and why would Rosier have to worry about the job. Perry has not even thrown a pass in a CFB game. And this dude is playing well, not just good, Really good.

why in the hëll would a redshirt freshman get ****ed about playing behind a qb that (if he wins out this season like you said) will have never lost a start in his career and played very well. he knows his oppurtunity will come in his redshirt sophomore year and he will get to play next year as the backup so if malik gets hurt he'll play or if we're blowing someone out mark richt will be more inclined to put in nkosi than he is evan because he wants to see nkosi get reps.

Should definitely be interesting. He doesn't have the talent or buzz to go pro no matter where this year goes. If the rest of this season winds down with a whimper (aka losing to VT and/or ND, not winning Coastal, etc), there will definitely be some controversy. If Rosier takes care of business the rest of the way for the most part, I can't see Pastor Richt pulling someone who went 10-1. Would be pretty unprecedented.

Wow bless you for taking this thread seriously
