QB Bud Foster Interesting comments

And im not shìtting on jarren. I compared his game to kaaya before and i still feel that way. I think a uptempo offense with a quick passing game fits him.

Would be his best fit.

Not really addressing you with the rest I'm about to say.

JW though, he isn't escaping a lot of those plays yesterday or making those throws Perry was making shoulder injury or not. Like I said before, he's had some bad passes in previous games, finally caught up to him this game. He's limited in what he can do and it makes the job of any defense easier. Perry opens up the entire field, not sure JW will ever be able to.

Interesting that the DC says Perry is harder to defend than Williams.

But we continue to start Williams.

Not a good look from the HC to stick with the guy that’s yet to make any plays against legit completion. Especially when the other guy on the roster just threw for 450 and 4 TDs.
N’kosi did very well, but you got to put the 422 yards 4tds in context. Of course he’s going to put up numbers if you are throwing **** near every play after being placed in a 21 or 28 point deficit. That’s what offenses normally do when trying to climb back in a game.

No one has said he will definitively start, people making that up. If he’s healthy Jarren should probably start the game and see how it goes first quarter. If he’s not doing well put n’kosi in. I’m confident with both of these guys now.

I know people are going to want to pile on Jarren right now and especially after last game but I want To see how he does if enos calls a game without the bs he does at peak randomness. At this point I’m fine with either but IMO it seems silly they havent benched a guy like Zion for his numerous Fvck ups but will yank a qb experiencing his first litany of errors early on in a game in the season.(deservedly so and he should have sat after the first quarter but still..).

like I said Yesterday don’t matter who the qb is, they both need to improve dramatically on their deep ball. People will cite arm strength but it’s not even that. Perry has a strong arm according to the fan base and even he underthrew a deep ball. When it’s going on 2 qbs who have underthrows on deep balls now from what we saw from Jarren this year so far and kosi from last year and even va tech this last weekend, something is not fundamentally right there. They really need to make sure they are generating enough power from their legs on those throws because right now they are not

What!? 😂 I guess JW got 3 Int in a row by handing it off to the RB.

LOL, how tf was he concerned about coverage if they didn't get to the QB on the hail mary? In what world were they not going to be able to rush 5 and dump our QB before the WR could get 30 yds down field? Like seriously, have you watched Miami's OL this year?

Very few teams defend the Hail Mary well. That's why I think it should be attempted more often. Coordinators are scared to attack. Defensive backs are overly tentative and mostly stand around. Overall it's amazing how poor the strategy is. On every other play of the game you hear announcers speaking of how dangerous a batted ball is, since now it is up for grabs and anything can happen. Yet on the Hail Mary you've actually got got commentators advising defenders to bat the ball. Unbelievable. Tom Jackson on ESPN used to scream to bat is down. That's not close to the optimum strategy. When you leap to try to bat the ball in traffic countless things can go wrong. That's why the offense has a significant advantage. There is now somebody on ESPN --- maybe Steve Young -- who screams the proper advice, "Catch the ball."

Absolutely. You devote all your life to learning and practicing how to catch the ball. So why in a pivotal situation are you going to rely on something far less practiced and reliable...batting an oblong ball?

He said straight up that Williams doesn't have arm strength and he thought his guys could undercut some balls, which is obviously what happened. Now that it's clear opposing DC's are thinking this and it's proven to work, we can expect to see opposing teams do this and it will be up to Williams to actually get some more power on his throws as many people claim he is capable. That's assuming he stays the starter.

I thought Perry looked better than Williams and I'd like to see what Martell can do. Season is essentially over already, we need to at least figure out our QB room for next year.
Martell can’t throw the ball and Enos isn’t going to scheme for him so just throw that thought out of the window already.

Is the same DC whose defense gave up 35 points and over 500 yards in a little less than three quarters? The same DC whose defense nearly blew a 28-0 lead to Martin and Lewis...I mean Diaz and Enos?
Almost nobody here is old enough to know Martin and Lewis.....the few that are old enough to know just can't remember them

Everybody's scratching their head trying to think if those were some guys who played for Pitt a few years ago.....or something.

I have been saying that jarren arm looks suspect but people been saying na its just mechanics. Look at that last pick he threw. That ball had no zip on it. I fully expect teams to man up and sit on all that short shìt.

didnt foster say he didn’t question his arm strength?

I think JWill’s arm is fine.

Jarren never had a howitzer. But his shoulder is fcked right now, so his average arm is now way below average. He had nothing on his passes yesterday, and it’s criminal they threw him out there with what is likely a separated throwing shoulder.

But hey, JW is still our starer lol. This staff is a god **** joke. I'm not going to pile on JW, kid's a gamer, but if he has a separated shoulder, don't play him. Perry's not perfect, but he isn't chopped liver. Let JW recover without damaging his shoulder more.

If Jarren was the QB that had to get us out of a 21-28 deficit we would’ve lost by 42 except Jarren would’ve had a better completion percentage.

It was the same plays .... 5 just has the courage to throw the ball and put the receivers in position to catch and run. I remember saying to you let’s see what 5 can do compared to 15 in the new offense and he made it look better.

I gotta say I’m baffled right now. We got a pretty good sample size on Kosi. You’re gonna love him and hate him. Certainly doesn’t cement himself in an apparent mediocre QB room. Got a decent sample size of Jarren. Dude gets a pass like no other. My eyes say zero spark from that position and a slooow moving offense when he’s in. My question is, how bad is Martell? Not hearing a peep about a guy who was highly coveted in the offseason. Why did we pursue him? To be a WR when we are supposed to be loaded with talent there? Stupid. Doesn’t this position appear wide open? So confused as to why he gets zero conversation? Wasn’t he a highly touted recruit?? Season appears lost. Why not see what else we have at this point? Got a 5* kid on our roster that got “edged” out. A spread, running 5* QB. Are we gonna ignore he’s on the roster and could use a shot?
Tate has far less arm talent than Jarren or Perry.

He can't throw the ball effectively in this Enos Offense because he doesn't have the arm to get the ball to the outside routes. He can run & scramble, but his lack of arm talent would suffer immensely having to play under center so much.

Defenses would sit on everything short, jumping every route, the most he could do is run for a few yards once the play breaks down. Enos would have to change the entire offense & scheme around Tate running a Read Option Offense & that's something he would never do.

The fact is, the best this offense will look is when we go 4-wide sets & SPREAD the field with a QB that can actually deliver with velocity & arm strength to all parts of the field. Perry is at his best when the coaches have no choice but to let him just go out there & throw indiscriminately, when you bog him down by trying to make him into this ultra conservative Captain Checkdown type QB he'll play terrible.

This is why some of us (me! Lol) keep screaming to the high heavens that we need to completely convert to a Spread Offense. It's what best fits out personnel & gives us the best chance to win.

When we Spread the Defense out, go with tempo & just let it rip we can actually move the **** ball & put points on the board, playing that ultra conservative slow take every snap under center ball has us putting up 17-24 points & ultimately losing because the Defense can't hold up.

We should be playing much faster, running 70+ plays a game & throwing the ball A LOT more.

I was all for going with Williams, thought he had more potential, but at the end of the day the offense looked different with Perry in the game. Perry still made some bad decisions but his ability to run and push the ball downfield brings an entirely different element to the offense.

Agree that we need to be a spread team from here on out, with Perry running the show IMO. We need to grip it and rip it instead of trying to play keep away.
