Horrible thread.

Here's the bottom line: UM needs (& has to) beat f$u in 2 weeks. And Al and Co. still need to go. Its not that hard to understand.

Come on, man, those last 3 wins don't save his job if we get blown out by F$U and lose to UVa and Pitt and Nevada in the Smurf Turf Bowl. Beat F$U though...man, that would change everything. It would almost certainly buy him another year.

Yet, not a single person on this board has been man enough to come out and say they are rooting for F$U! Not one iota!

I find that odd.

But beat F$U and he doesn't go. I think even the mopiest of mopes will agree with that, whether he should go or shouldn't. Beating F$U buys him another year at least. You're on record here, so I don't need to ask you to answer. But where are all the people who have been rooting against Miami every game and saying that they would continue rooting against Miami until AG is fired? Why won't they go on record and say it now?
 
No problemo, I like your thread. To answer your question. I never have and never will root for any opponent of the canes and in a thousand years would never ever root for those suckers up north to beat us! Even If it would be better in the long haul I couldn't do it. The changes of directions of posters' opinions (mine included) in the last couple of weeks on this board are really funny to observe, tough. I have to confess that I didn´t see those last two blowouts, those improved performances coming.

This has nothing to do with mopers and slurpers. I've seen so-called slurpers call for AG's head, and I've seen so-called mopers say that they're back on board if we beat F$U.

Sebastion91 is correct. There are a lot of people in this board who will derive more satisfaction if we get blown out by FSU than if we beat them. Miami82 is definitely one of them. The funny thing is AG is here as long as he wants to be. Keep flying banners and wasting your money!

I'm not going to lie. I wanted us to lose the last few games because i want Golden gone. But the team is playing a lot better now. The defense is playing a lot better now and if Golden can continue to field an aggressive defense I wouldnt mind giving him one more year. So no, I am not rooting for FSU, I want the canes to win. But I still dont think we are going to.

If our D plays aggressively like we have the past 2 games for the rest of the season Donofrio might just keep his job. I think that is what everyone here is so ****ed about this Defense for. Because it was conservative as ****. Now, it's looking like a completely diff D than last year, and the first few games this year. If we keep it aggressive and it works against FSU, not seeing what the problem is. Golden isn't getting fired this year, and anyone hoping that he will be, can just give up on that now. The real question is does Donofrio still get fired. The entire reason we wanted him gone was because his scheme wasn't aggressive enough, and didn't allow the players to make plays. But that is exactly what the defense has been the past 2 weeks. If it keeps up for FSU, and the rest of the season, all the ppl mad about the defense (including myself) won't have anything to complain about.
Everyone should just let the season play out, and hope we win every game including FSU twice; I know I am.

Don't want the Canes to ever lose...I did say a couple of days ago that i thought FSU would win... but i also thought that UGA was going to blow UF a new Orpheus. .. The way they played Saturday.... the Canes have the potential to beat FSU

Almost as humorous as the strength of some people's convictions on this matter not being strong enough to their cause to publicly say in advance that they believe a blowout loss to our biggest rival would be beneficial to the program longterm and that they would not only welcome it but are hoping for it is the fact that some of you aren't convinced that a win absolutely guarantees Alfred AND D'Onofrio another year. ****, I bet they'd get extensions after the game right at SLS. I absolutely can't see how someone flies a banner but still hopes for a win this game- a win that would absolutely destroy their "cause".

*For the record, I was on here post GT in an intoxicated state and broken saying that performance left me completely apathetic about this season and this staff. I'll stand by that in relation to the staff but not the season. The next two weeks of excitement alone justify the renewed energy about this team.
 
I see what you guys are saying. But for me, Personal, juvenile-level insults and name-calling aside, it's the mopers and slurpers thing that makes this site one of the more entertaining. It could be done at a more mature level sometimes but there are always going to be the Pollyannas and the Debbie Downers.
