Protect College Sports Act [formerly “SCORE Act” thread]

This is a critically important stat to pay attention to. I've been concerned about Miami's schedule this season. It's not conducive to a lot of viewers. That's why I was rooting for Clemson at Cal. We needed this to be a night game.

Nearly everyone ahead of us on this list has played an SEC team.

Probably didn't help that the ACC puts 3 of our first 4 games on Thursday/Friday. The 2nd half of the Wake game would have likely drawn bigger numbers on a Saturday even if it was just people turning in hoping for Miami to get upset.

No one cares what this loser from the Yankees has to say. He keeps repeating that the SEC and Big Ten don’t want Miami, anyone actually believe this?
Which gets us back to if they have no where to go why is the cap and need to go independent need to be included in the bill. Also, even if Miami and FSU don't intend to leave now they would like to have the option in the future. At the very least it gives them leverage if needed.

An excerpt or two from the on three article Ross Dellinger just dropped this morning
TLDR- house has a lot of assistance, White House is ****ed at Miami & Florida State essentially continuing to resist, Senate says they won’t pass something to blow up the ACClollollol

Trump's granddaughter goes to Miami. I doubt he's "****ed".

Levine keeps saying the B1G and SEC don't want to expand. Which begs the question..then why add the provision at all? In addition to, why would they tell you if they wanted to anyways?

And the senate saying "we won't pass language that blows up the ACC" is basically their way of admitting this bill is to protect the ACC, not college football. The ACC should be able to stand on their own merit, not behind some language in a bill to protect them from their own poor leadership and decisions.

The whole anti-expansion language is illegal and will be the reason the bill gets justifiably blown up.

CIS gaslighting itself.
It’s everybody ( including our conference) lined up against Canes, FSU and Clemson.
Must defeat passage unless we have secret deal with power2.

Pat Forde is such a moron.

You don't just "send a Senate bill to the House". That's not how it works. The House will not "vote" or "ratify" the Senate bill. The House needs to pass a bill of its own.

This is why corrupt politicians like Ted Cruz can absolutely bull**** the general public, including clueless sportswriters like Pat Forde.

Smoke here anyone!? What is the credibility of this poster?

We were told by FSU fans they would be in the SEC next year too..😎
Credibility? Internet sports chat board. TIFWIW. He is the guy who started the REALIGNMENT thread on Warchant in late 2022. He is a retired financial guy who worked IN media contracts and does have a relative who was on a major board at Disney. He does have some media industry contacts and has been consistent for some time that a series of dominoes would have to fall for the next realignment phase to take place. The 24 team CFP agreement has been the final obstacle ... and that appears to be the direction the conferences (and networks) are going. ESPN has until October 8 to present THEIR offer to the CFP for a 24 team playoff. If the CFP doesn't agree to that then it is open to bids from the market. Once all bids are in the CFP will THEN decide if that is the direction they are moving to (or maybe they confirm it earlier ... and then work on the bid process).

I agree… I'm so sick of this schedule.

The problem is in all of CFB. They ruined it so many ways. Cignetti said it basically why schedule anyone? (But he has the conference to protect him)

I'd rather us barely squeak into the CFB playoff, etc and play big non-conf games. ANYTIME/ANYWHERE was what UM was built on, and what CFB is supposed to be about. Not this weak, boring **** and then everyone tune in for a playoff. I'm talking about from more a fan/competitve nature aspect than viewership like you are but it leads to the same stance.

Yes, but we have to guard against vague pie-in-the-sky nonsense.

"Miami needs to play a tougher schedule". "Miami needs a sparring partner". "Miami shouldn't play FAMU".

All of that is bull****, and it ignores what actually happened. Miami went to NINE games in the ACC (F$U didn't). That means we have THREE OOC games to schedule/play. One of those games is against Notre Dame, the #3 team in the country. Currently, at this moment, who else in the P4 is playing a higher ranked OOC game than us? GaTech v. Georgia qualifies. Texas v. Ohio State qualifies. Everyone else can **** off.

As for our other TWO games, let's not forget that both Auburn and South Carolina dropped games with Miami. What were our options? Does anyone honestly believe that there is a long line of P4 ADs outside of Radakovich's office who are just desperate to schedule Miami? And let's not forget that Miami has been scheduling FAMU since the 1970s.

Yeah, "Miami needs a sparring partner" is just something that soft Miami "fans" say so that they can look cool in front of their Gator friends. Hey, if the SEC wants to invite Miami, feel free to send that invitation to President Joe. Until then, it's just snobbish bull**** for SEC fans to accuse Miami of having a weak schedule, when all the SEC teams that were SUPPOSED to play Miami have backed out.

TheFAKELriginalCane says Miami to B1G is guaranteed since 2022. FIVE years of Ls

TheREALOGCanr says Miami is trapped till AT LEAST 2030. Half wa yo being RIGHT. FAKE keeps taking Ls

Miami to the Big 10 is guaranteed.

You have a patent on being wrong.

I won't file a trademark lawsuit over your attempted appropriation of my log-in name.

RegalNole is full of ****. The same porster who told everyone on his board that F$U would be announcing its exit from the ACC months ago.

That day came and went. RegalNole just keeps posting bull****.
