I’ve been one of the biggest critics of our OL players and coach, but they played solid yesterday.

Perry had ample time in the pocket, and our run game, while not perfect, opened up decent holes for our backs.

I’m happy for the seniors. Their last game at home was one of the best performances they’ve had all season.

Agree. Props to those boys for not throwing in the towel. Lord knows we have dumped on them enough this year (rightfully so), but gotta give them some props for a good job yesterday.
Ok, now get you azzes back to work for next year, you have a lot of work to do.:)

Been saying it, coach searels has been doing a solid job with the talent at his disposal, not to many people want to look at the fact that he got left with o-linemen with as much talent as rosier. With that being said, our running game hasnt been that bad even during the losing streak and with no passing game. All we need is for the passing game to improve just a lil bit and this team will start scoring in bunches. Yeah alot of people are upset, but with more than likely 3 new starters on the o-line next year to pair with navaughn and scaife, which likely will be gaynor and the 3rd guy, so who will the other 2 be. Also, coach searels says F off to those wjo didnt get the news about eguak, and i like what he said about tarquin when asked what will he say to him, he said "im just going to tell him to do what's best for him".

That's beautiful, cause that's how you prevent crybabies from coming here, if a player has to be convinced to much about coming here, that's a receipe for someone being a crybaby!

Over the last few games I’ve become convinced that it’s more a scheme/play calling issue than a talent issue (aside from Mahoney). It’s amazing how much better the OL looked once we got away from the slow developing run plays into a stacked box every first and 2nd down. Richt was basically setting these guys up to fail. I realize the offense wasn’t very good yesterday but that was mostly on the WRs. Without the drops and mental lapses we easily score two more TDS (at a minimum).

Talent was unquestionably substandard, but Richt's offensive schemes and the QB flip-flopping definitely did them a disservice. Lack of talent aside, that was Searles' 3rd year with most of those guys and I cannot point to one single player that has improved under his coaching stint.

Too many teams fielded OLs on par with ours and even worse, yet they still performed better than our guys. Poor technique, tons of penalties, lack of player development... that's on Searles.

They played good, amazing what you can do when you spread your offense out...

Sorry to interrupt posting but...

DROPPED PASSES, DROPPED PASS AND DROPPED PASSES.

Is anybody upset about this , why can’t our ALL WORLD , ALL SIZE , ALL SPEED and ALL EVERYTHING else WR’s help our QB out ?

I just wanted to let people know we got a serious issue here.

Now back to your regular scheduled posting.

Also, besides spreading it out a little it’s still a grown *** man position and the top teams have grown *** men on it and even the 5 stars don’t start on top teams
It’s a good foundation and a great idea to sit gaynor this year.
Great olines are full of 4th and 5th year seniors.

No penalties was their only bright spot.

BUT THAT IS EXPECTED, not "above and beyond".

The OL is a disaster and will likely get worse next year (yes, if that is actually possible).

Perry got sacked twice and on both occasions he could have avoided it simply by stepping up into the pocket instead of trying to scramble out.

It’s the scheme. Spread everyone out and there are less defenders crashing inside. Almost like when you purposefully move the pocket because an oline sucks.

That said, they still let edge defenders through way too easily in a few of those plays where they de broke up the pass.
