If we can beat A&M and get revenge on Ohio taint that would be a huge success to the season. We are making huge progress. Thats all we can ask for. Go Mario and Go canes!

For me the second the money men stepped up and made it clear they were only going to back Cristobal the die was cast.

Thankfully it's turned into a wonderful marriage - but I really think we were dead in the water without that twist of fate. The Administration were happy to bumble along with the likes of Golden / Diaz.
 
The man had the brutal self-honesty and humility to look at his or alex' invovlement in the O and dial it back and let Dawson go more air-raidish. That could not have been easy. Yes. Criticize him for not doing it earlier but he did it. My hope is that this adjustment remains going forward. It will make us much better as a program.
 
There was a fork in the road after the SMU loss, Mario did everything i would've hoped for and more from that point on. Im hard on the guy but I honestly think he turned a corner (long-term) after that game. He did an amazing, amazing job.

Imagine where we'd be if we dropped another game which everyone knew was highly possible? I'm so glad how it turned out.

Also, not to take away from the positivity as I also agree Mario did an incredible job lobbying for Miami....but Rad needs to be canned immediately. He is utterly ******* useless and passive. We need an aggressive, proactive AD (especially with expansion) and Rad is mentally retired. Also, fire Him Phillips, if the refs and/or tiebreaker were taken care of we wouldn't have had to sweat through this whole thing.

Yes but there is also an element of what happens if they don’t respect H2H. Sark already said he told the AD to take tough OOC games off the schedule if winning them didn’t matter. Committee knew if it ignored H2H on teams with identical metrics and with 5 common opponents, EVERY serious cfb program is going to cancel premier OOC games for the next decade and instead schedule G5s. Choice was **** off ND or have networks lose tens, if not hundreds, of millions in tv revenue going forward. This was the best business decision.
 
It hasn’t always been pretty but we have arrived at the destination we wanted. A relevant team competing in the playoffs and loading up on talent every year. Mario has done what we wanted and seems to have grown as a coach this year.
