Crazy isn’t it, that every football schools presidents financial and academic legacy is ultimately determined by their football reputation. Some smart people making really dumb decisions… idiot

Manny must have read this before his rebuttal against Kirk Herbstreit.

You and the other Original Cane have been the biggest supporters and defenders of the admin and BOT on here for as long as I can remember.

Lol at you trying to call anyone out for anything.

People like me have been calling the BOT out for years. You can hop on the bandwagon I guess, better late than never.

I think I'm going to have to report this as false information.

I am now, always have been, and always will be, a supporter of truthful and accurate information. When Julio Frenk is to blame, I blame him. When the BOT is to blame, I blame them. When Beta Blake is to blame, I blame him.

I start out with a clean slate with everyone. I don't agree with every UM hire, but I give guys a chance to perform.

I am on the record as supporting Admiral Stavridis for UM President from the time of his being interviewed. I NEVER liked the Frenk hiring, but I gave the guy a chance. Within 2 years, I had very good information from people working at UM that Frenk was a disaster, on both a personality and leadership level. I have criticized Frenk ever since, even predicting that he would NOT get a second 5-year contract. At the same time, I don't blame him for the errors of the BOT or the AD.

I have actively criticized the BOT since I was an undergrad and, ****, several of those Trustees are STILL on the BOT today. The extent to which the BOT refused to take action on student initiatives such as increased lighting on campus, safety phones, and a pedestrian bridge over US 1, even after we made presentations to them, was pathetic, and it cost lives. More importantly, almost nobody on the BOT has any experience or qualifications related to Athletics, and I believe they are ill-equipped to make tough decisions related to Athletics. Again, I am on the record as being critical of the BOT for decades, but I don't blame them for the errors of the President or the AD.

And I never supported the hiring of Beta Blake. After two ADs with very little vested in the pride of UM Athletics and the continuation and building of our history, I was very disappointed that we hired a guy who was all about "big donors" and "premium seating options", without any concern over building up our fanbase via the students, the rank-and-file alums, or the non-UM-alum community generally. I have criticized Beta Blake for years, EVEN DURING THE BUILDING OF THE IPF, but I don't blame him for the errors of the President or BOT.

So, yeah, if you want to get mad at me for not constantly posting brain-dead "the incompetent President and BOT don't care" rants, that's on you. But to falsely accuse me of "supporting" and "defending" the "admin and BOT" is just ridiculous.

"People like me have been calling out the BOT for years"...hilarious. I have been criticizing the UM BOT for decades.

What a bump. Times have changes man. Julio can take a long walk off a short pier.

I'm not being critical of you at all; while the "times" may have changed, the underlying facts and evidence have been the same all along. While I am glad that UM played football in 2020, Frenk has been a terrible president for six years.

I challenge anyone, ANYONE, to tell us about any "signature" policy or initiative that arose from Frenk's ideas or leadership.

Did not age well.

Another porster who went too far with his hot take, out of personal animus.

Aged fine for me. I respect the **** out of him for what he said and what he did, at a time that not many others were willing to speak. It's the same reason I'll be the first in line to vote for Ron DeSantis for whatever political office he runs for at any point for the rest of his life. I'm not turning this political, but the way he allowed myself and a lot of people I care about to operate and live their lives in this state when the vast majority of his peers were embarrassingly spineless, he's got me in his corner forever. And I don't agree with a lot of he says or does. Maybe even most of it. But for an issue that large that impacted me the way that it did, I'm a supporter. At the time, I felt the same way about Frenk. I have zero issues at all with him being the president of the university. Do I agree with everything he does, specifically if he doesn't fire Blake James in the near future if the football season continues the way it seems to be going? Nope. But when the vast, vast majority of public figures were hiding under their beds a year ago, Dr. Frenk was willing to speak up for what I believed to be (and in hindsight, WAS) the absolute correct decision. Took balls to do it. Awesome of you to run to CIS OldTakesExposed though, like you had something cool. :6fps6::6fps6::6fps6::6fps6::6fps6:

So after five years of Frenk doing NOTHING as the UM President, you are basing your entire opinion of Frenk on his support for playing football in 2020. Which every other Power Five school did as well.

These will age well too. Especially that last one.

I have no problem with Frenk's actions during Covid, I think he was probably an asset during that time. But that does not give me reason to want him to stay any longer. We can do better and Frenk can move on with my gratitude for his time here.

Great, now I'm going to have a hard believing anything you say.

I'm willing to beg Alex Jones to change his name to High Pitch, if only for the humor that will arise when Barry Jacks-off inevitably calls him out...
