The question is, do we want to be a 7-5 program or do y'all want to compete for national championships. If you want mediocrity and 7-5 by all means praise this win against an overrated team that can't catch a cold.

The young guys also gave some things to overcome as well. Muffed punt inside the 10, could have been NC State's ball there. Picking up a bouncing kick off at the 2, fumble around with it a bit, and only get to the 10 yard line right before NC State's last drive.

NC State players made mistakes and Miami players made mistakes. The difference is our guys made plays when it counted.

I won't lie I was inspired. Filled with the warm and fuzzies. It was a special night for everybody, coach and all. But I can't help but think of my students that think one day of work means they are dm suddenly good. I love them but instead of any sense of relief or too much sense of accomplishment I just tell them it's not there but it's better and I like better. It was a good day but you aren't really good until you start to string together good days.

Diaz's record is 17-14. Evidently they're not going to fire him during the season. This win changes nothing.

Tonight's win does nothing but help the team in the future. Our freshman played great, we have a QB for the next 3-4 years plus it doesn't change a thing about Manny's future. We go on the road to Pitt, and their Dline will eat next week and it will be our 5th lose, which is unacceptable.
