Go look at what Saban and Dabo did when they first got there...it wasn’t pretty. Clemson fans were calling for Dabo’s head also until he made changes and the rest is history. I’m SUPER excited about Van Dyke’s future, but now what has to happen(if we keep Manny) is Manny needs to go out and hire an elite D-coordinator. That, and we still commit way too many stupid penalties. If these problems are addressed then we have potential to be pretty good over the next few years.

While this is accurate, we all know that Shoop is going to be the DC next season if Manny stays.

I honestly thought a large part of the problem was the (lack of) talent before. Now that there are numerous young guns ballin' - i'm over that opinion, and mostly want Manny to just stay out of their way now (if he's still here... which seems possible... maybe if he learns to STAY out of their way and get a decent DC, and Blake's gone, I could stomach him a bit longer).

Sometimes a HC's best asset is lettin the (best) guys just play to win.
