imagine if this staff developed players.

they did you idiot.

hello Walford? Perryman?

they know how to develop. what they don't know is how to utilize.

It's sarcasm.

Yea cuz the coaches at miami (oh) did a helluva job developing Ben rothlisberger. Smh. U couldn't wait to give this sorry *** apstaff credit for something. Even if they played a small as role.

Player development is largely on the player. Coaches, other players etc etc play a small role.o

I wonder if you gave Shannon credit for " developing" the guys under him who made NFL teams? Hmmmm.

So the answer is no then. Lol. Smh.

What difference does it makes if a guy goes in the first rd or 6th rd if said player becomes an NFL starter? Thanks for showing your true colors again.

Do you really not see the difference? Some dude that came out of college that wasn't highly touted ( because he wasn't developed, or didn't develop himself? ) then went on to have success... is not the same as having a few guys come out of school as potential first round talents. Whether they developed themselves or not.

Thanks a lot Swasey for sucking so bad Flowers got the most reps for OL.

lol @ swasey...This kids dad trained him like a dog before he came to um...he came in to um strong as an ox...Swasey is terrible with lineman...guarantee he trained OUTSIDE of um for the combine///

The most impressive bench press total belonged to Miami left tackle Ereck Flowers. He led all the offensive linemen with 37 reps. Flowers (6-6, 329) plays with a lot of power, and his bench press total is even more impressive considering he has long arms (34 4/8 inches). Flowers could be on his way to being the star of the Combine along the offensive line.

You set the bar a rock bottom for your boys. Back in the day, players from THE U were the default pick for NFL GMs. They were ALL as prepared as third year pros. If a team was looking for secondary help and wasn't sure who to take, they took WHOEVER was coming out of Miami at that position. If they were not certain what to do with a 1st round pick, they took whatever star was coming out of Miami who was still available. A Cane was ALWAYS the lowest risk pick on the board. You always got a player who contributed day one. There were no development players coming out of Miami. THAT is player development. That is nothing like what we are seeing here. Al's failure is as complete as his defense is horrific.

Amen. Flowers was beast day one. If Henderson had one ounce of Flowers in him, dude would have been 1st pick in draft his junior year. This year is deep at tackle but he still probably goes 1st round.

Flowers may indeed be a top 15 if not top 10 pick. It will be refreshing to hear: "from the University of Miami" in the first round.

No it won't. It will be infuriating.

+1

There should be no reason for a 4-7 record with the abundance of NFL draftable talent this team has/had.

I would feel better having gone 4-7 if none of our guys were draftable players. But to have (4) players who will go in the top two rounds is infuriating.

Technique is God awful. Obviously wasn't coached up good enough by Kehoe. After impressive start, he is hurting his stock..

#UTough #Canes #TheU RT @RoadToRadioCity: #Miami TE Clive Walford with a 10' broad jump. Better than Gronk, Graham and Ebron, FWIW.
