Greg Schiano is the D-Coordinator and he runs a 4-3, 1 gap scheme. Now, I'm sure he'll have some 3-4 philosophies because that's Belichick M.O, but that's probably why you see him directly focusing on the DL. All of them are going to fit the scheme Schiano wants to run next year. That's just my take on who's he looking at. I think Schiano is there too, from what I heard!
