NOT a complaint -- Fletcher was outstanding at the end -- but is anyone surprised Pringle got only one carry the entire game?
I'm guessing it was probably related to pass protection vs a strong DL. On the other hand, he might have provided burst to a sub-300 yard offense, especially during the long periods when we couldn't move the ball.
Again, NOT complaining. I just thought it was strange, and no one asked Dawson/Mario about it at the press conference.

Dawson said in the post game presser that A&M defense was based upon speed so that meant Fletcher not Pringle getting the carries

How fortunate we are to have a variety of specialized backs we can utilize. We do not credit this staff enough for their detail work on not just getting the right pieces BUT also fitting them together. Impressive work and…Fletcher Is a beast of a back!!!

He didn’t get benched. This is playoffs. You ride your horse against nfl style defenses.

Pringle is great when playing Va tech, Syracuse and other weak teams. Pringle isn’t a good matchup for pas protection against A&M.

Some of you must not understand football. Dawson didn’t either yesterday. Fletcher coudve ran for 300yd if they just gave him the rock

Fletcher's skill set made the most sense. His pass blocking is years ahead of Pringle's. A&M's D's focus on speed made them vulnerable to a bruiser like Fletcher.

We never got rhythm going on offense to get a change of pace back in. ****, Fletcher had the hot hand and they dialed up a ton of plays to try to get Malachi going…that’s where the extra snaps went (and that terrible end around for Marion). Wish they would have stuck with what was working. First time all season that I was screaming for the A gap runs. If we can get into a rhythm of positive yards and Fletch is getting stopped from time to time, that would be a perfect time to bring in Pringle.

This was not the game for Pringle. The offense only had like 50 plays as well so there really was never any rythm in the offense. If they sustained more drives he probably would have gotten more than 1 carry but this was Fletcher's game from the 1st snap. Those runs out of the pistol with that oline and him looking decisive and just bursting downhill was a thing of beauty. Would have been fantastic to marry some playaction pass plays with those run looks but Dawson doesn't do that for some reason.

On a side note, running out of the pistol needs to be a thing from now on.
