He messed up vs OSU and they rewarded that with no more snaps...

I want the kid here. I think he's the goods. But I also don't blame the coaches.

Tough situation. Hope Marty and Lyle stay.

This is why you recruit stud backs every year. They can either spell one another or replace one when the other is upset they aren't being ran into the ground.

It's almost like he's punishing Mario because he got so much playing time during a few games in the middle of the season and then got none in the CFP.

If he hadn't gotten any PT all year:

1. Bama wouldn't be tampering
2. He wouldn't have expected to play in the CFP

You’d have to pull Marty off the field.

Miami was trying to win a title and not manage snaps for retention like it was Bethune Colman.

He was a true freshman.. and he helped us BIG time when the offense was stale midseason, did you forget?

Rewatch OSU, dude was lost. Coaches played the hot hand. No RB got much burnt outside of brown in the olemiss game

I want him here, he's a great talent. But it's crazy the lengths you have to go to keep kids happy.
 
Hate this a lot.

Would love to run more Outside Zone next season and he’s a perfect fit for it.

***edit: I wrote this post before learning that his family was rooting against us in the championship. While I still believe in his physical attributes and his fit for outside zone, that’s a **** of a hill to climb mentality-wise.

I peeped in the replay he was not very happy on the sidelines when Mali scored and we were down 21-24. He is definitely a special back. Dawson could've used him as another speed weapon but Mark Fletcher we lived and died on these playoffs.
