Prediction - Manny will be UF's DC next year

Grantham is likely out as UF's DC at year's end and given Manny's ties to Mullen, I bet that's where he ends up next season. His salary will also offset his Miami buyout so good news on our side.
I would upgrade my seats to club level of this happened.

From your fingers to the college football Gods ears.

Go Canes!!

I don't think he'll be at this level again. He's looking at a Randy Shannon post HC career. At best.
This is the thing - everyone nitpicking all of these quality P5 HC candidates (that we probably won't get).

When was the last time a HC we fired went on to be a HC again? Coker?

Get a decent P5 HC in here and this thing changes overnight. You saw the difference the burned out husk of Richt made before he ran out of steam.

Lisp so he wouldn’t make it on TV
So does Corso.

And Coker went on to HC at a starter program, not anything established.

I’ll bet he’s analyst at Bama
As stupid as that sounds it would be a smart move by both him and Saban.
Saban doesn’t need any help recruiting sofla. But he would be loved in coaching circles cause he’s been taking in coaches who’s images have been tarnished. He’s been seen as a tyrant and a bad person to work for. But resurrecting apparently dead careers is another notch on his belt.

However, I don’t think manny was ever held in the same regards as Sark Strong and O’Brien. So his fall from supposed grace wasn’t as far as the others.

Nah, big difference. Both were first time head coaches but Diaz actually had a ton of experience as a coordinator. He was DC at Middle Tennessee, Mississippi State (twice) Texas, Louisiana Tech and Miami. Shannon's only prior experience as a DC was at Miami. Diaz was able to recover from his disaster at Texas and work his way back to the big schools. After getting fired as Miami head coach, Shannon has worked backwards and has not been retained at either of his post Miami coordinator jobs.

Sorry for the triple post but Mullen was pretty happy with Diaz at Mississippi State. Him going to UF isn't nearly as ridiculous as some may think.
