Berrios has the one "measurable" none of the other WR's can do. Make tough catches in traffic and 3rd down catches. What were you watching last year?

Berrios should not see the field over Waters or Lewis.

Coley should move to the slot in 3-WR sets, and Lewis should be the 2nd slot.

I'm sure my opinion isn't popular, but I saw nothing from Berrios that suggested he's a guy we have to have on the field, at this point in his college career.

And what's most interesting to me about the Berrios hype ... He doesn't have any of the "measurables" our staff is always touting ...

Pre-injury yes. I haven't seen the same Malcolm since. Just the facts.

Malcolm lewis is way better than berrios the staff is blind.

I never saw Malcom being as good as everyone on here hyped him up to be. Pre or post injury. He was solid pre injury but I think Berrios is the better talent, also considering Berrios came in right off a torn ACL. He will only get better.

Think you need to reload on Odogwu...'We would have the only 6'8" offensive guard in college football...

Waters makes tough catches. Easily, one of our top 2 receivers.

Lewis also makes 3rd down catches.

What were you watching?

Wasn't Berrios dropping a crucial ball in the FSU game, huh?

No he's better now watch when they run routes lewis is better at almost everything. Yall fail to realize that berrious tore his acl and put on too much weight, I know lewis hurt his leg too but since spring it looked like he gained his explosiveness back.

I have seen enough of Coley on kick and punt returns. Get some fresh blood in there. Somebody posted about Gray earlier. I like that idea -otherwise he will be buried on the depth chart. Hate to have that talent underutilized.

He's shuttle time would've been top 5 in the NFL combine last year. Kid has elite quickness for the slot position.

WR: Scott
WR: Waters
slot: Coley
I really think Waters is in the top 3 at WR and deserve to be a starter...

really nice depth chart, like our chances this year with that talent and depth, i would like to see jamal carter starting, is the staff looking at him to be the starter at safety? i would like to see waters, coley and berrios start but as long as they all see the field thats awesome. i believe gus will exceed peoples expectations but the competetion at rb is great. nice depth chart geo.

I don't think I've ever seen Herb make a catch over the middle and being contested by a DB. He's an open space and deep ball catcher. You're nuts if you think the Malcolm Lewis right now is better than Berrios. Malcolm has no wiggle that I saw when we played BC his Frosh year. He's not even close to that player right now. Berrios was a True Frosh last year coming off an ACL injury and made tough catch after tough catch.

That depends which Coley shows up this year. The freshman Coley that showed flashes of greatness, or the Sophomore Coley that looked terrified to take a hit. If Coley returns to form, he can be one of the greats in college this year. If not, then yes, Waters should get more of his playing time.

Your perspective is skewed.

And the statistics definitely don't validate your comments on Herb Waters ...

Miami (Fla.) Hurricanes Stats - NCAA College Football - CBSSports.com

Berrios averaged less than 2 catches per game. So, when was he making "tough catch after tough catch"?

And Herb averaged 14 YPC ... That's hardly "deep ball catcher" stats.

Lewis is actually the guy who made the tough catches, which is why he has the lowest YPC average.

You're entitled to like who you want. But Berrios should have RS last season. He didn't give the team one thing it didn't already have with Dorsett, Coley, Waters, and Lewis on the field.

It's the same stupid roster management from our staff. The kid should have been allowed to fully recover from the ACL injury. There was absolutely no reason to rush him back. And if they didn't rush him back, then people should stop referencing the ACL injury.
