Lets keep it a buck....most of us wouldve had picks along these lines. Except PSU, Oregon, and Texas. Those were just awful picks.

i posted the predictions because IMO is represents the new reality and the magic of college football that unfortunately the adults are trying very hard to **** up

to Win the NC...yes. They don't have an identity IMO. It feels like they just play ball and it works. That will only get you so far. I wouldn't picked them to WIN the NC. Playoffs...yeah, I would put them in the field.

I have to admit - most of the teams picked made sense at the time.

Except for Clemson, they are the one I am stupefied that anyone picked to win the title. Anyone with eyes to see knows that program has been in decline for a while. Them winning the ACC last year because we lost to Syracuse masked it.

They were never winning ****.

Clemson? Everyone who watched last season saw that Klubick was terrible.
Let us never forget that he was run down by our small, slow LB, Corey Flagg. A game in which Emory Williams lead us to victory.

Not to mention how poorly Dabo used the portal.

What very few of these “experts” appreciate is the value of portal recruiting and on field results.

No need to pull receipts on fellow Canes fans at this point but I was assured here that Clemson was by far the most talented team in the ACC

All the national media does is parrot the same narratives that get created

I don’t see many with actual analysis

Yeah. Clemson was another one. Can even throw LSU in there. Those teams just didnt warrant WINNING NC talk. Playoffs..again, I could put a few in a 12 team field. But not to win.

To be fair, no one on this board seriously thought Miami might be in contention at the beginning of the year and 75% of this board thought Mario should be fired and that was still true like two months ago.
Lies we are back 2 back 2 back 2 back 2 back off-season champs.. it's like clockwork how we punch in and get drunk on @DMoney practice reports and then the 15-0 start flying..

PSU
Clemson
Texas
LSU

If you thought any of these teams were good enough to win it all, you should be in a different line of work.
PSU was the most baffling. Loaded with veterans, coming off a national semifinal appearance. Turns out Drew Allar was just not very good.

My sincere question about Drew Allar is was he ever good in college, or did he simply fit the “mold” of a QB? It seems so often that high school QB’s are rated high based on physical attributes. Which I can understand, but so many never develop the mental side of playing the game at a much faster pace. But the experts keep rating them as good college QB’s because of those same physical attributes.

I see that in Allar and Klubnick.

Most of these made sense? **** no. Alabama did not, nor did Clemson, LSU, Penn St or Texas. Neither of those teams did anything before August to warrant NC aspirations.
