preseason means nothing. I think OSU is a little overrated there. Oregon not sold on either. People might be sleeping on BAMA. he has a ton of talented and crushed it at Washington with less.
Osu has a couple really good backs. I think they’ll run the ball a ton this year. I’m honestly not sold on Howard. That Osu Oregon game will be a good one.

OSU has boatloads of talent this year, but the pressure is on. Do or die for Day, especially with Michigan trending down. Howard isn’t at KSU anymore. If they don’t come out looking good the entire state will be on his ***. Would be hysterical to see UM take it to them again this year somehow. Maybe Nebraska can steal one there too.

F$u being ranked 9 spots higher than us is a joke (among others). But, we haven't earned to the right to be ranked higher notwithstanding the talent on our roster.

We need to prove it on the field first before gaining the respect of the national media.

What school climbs from outside of the Top 25 Preseason Poll to Top 10 in the final poll? I think it's happened every year for the past 30ish years except for 1 or 2 seasons.

The answer is obviously Colorado because Coach Prime and the hype machine says so.

Or SMU. Probably SMU.

Preseason Polls are as useless as **** on a bull. Purely used for television hyping of games
Yes and no, my issue with preseason polls is I do agree they are used for TV and hyping up games but I cannot say they are useless. If you are ranked very high to start the season you can lose a game or two early and claw your way back. If you are at the bottom of the top 25, lose a few games early, its hard to claw back above where you were. SO yes while being ranked early puts a target on you, I think it helps if the unforeseen slip-up happens.

Case in point if we are at 19 and lost to UF, I think we drop out of the top 25, if we were ranked 9th and lost to UF, we probably drop to the 19th range. Same freaking team, same likely outcome for the season, but in one instance we are still a top 25 team.

IDK about top 10 but I'd be surprised if Va Tech isnt ranked at the end of the season
