Pre fall camp offensive buzz from Miami herald

So enos doesn't care about how good the qb runs? And it sounds like he will run his offense regardless of qb.

And that makes complete sense because passing is way more important than running for a QB. The only way running would be a deciding factor for the QB race would be if both players possess EQUAL passing ability which they clearly do not. The days of winning a championship with a run 1st QB like Tebow are over. Period

No it didn't. You read it opposite of that. At the end they threw in they will adjust the offense to the qb but i will believe it when i see it.
I don't believe he doesn't care about a great runner and he'd be retarded not to tailor the offense to whoever is best. Besides that, he was quoted himself saying he would do that.

Gurley ran in the exact same offensive system in highschool. Chaney will make the transition too next year as I believe they run a wing T there too

Didn’t know that, thanks for the insight. Still a crap offense to get kids ready for the next level. Gurley’s freshman year he was like 220 though, I’m not even sure Lingard is 200... As much as I hate to say it because I was going crazy when he committed, I can see him transferring.. especially if
Deejay’s a Cane in 2020, Cam shines & Burns gets PT. Chaney’s looking like a stud as well.

You're not understanding. The main pt that you need to grasp is that PASSING ALWAYS TRUMPS RUNNING for a QB. Always. The only way that Running matters in this QB race is if both players possess equal throwing ability which they clearly do not. You can no longer win anything of significance in modern football with a QB that runs better than he throws.

Dude you don't have to scream to try to convince me of something that isn't true. The narrative that Tate can't throw is ridiculous but not as much as you're last statement. Tebow, Manziel, Baker, Murray, Hurts, Milton, etc. All fit the mold and won.

I'm speaking emphatically because you lack the intelligence to comprehend properly. I'm not saying you cannot win with a dual threat QB. Clearly you can. What i'm saying is..you cannot win with a QB THAT RUNS BETTER THAN HE THROWS. The only QB that you named that is a run 1st QB is Tebow..and the days of winning with that type of QB are over. Finito. Finished, etc

Fair enough.

The few plays I've seen him run, he reminded me a touch of E ****erson. Very upright, didn't look fast, but down the field in a blaze he goes.

Does he have the frame to sustain that more exposed upright running style?

Yeah, good call.

****erson never looked like he was running full speed. When he was a rookie with the Rams, HC John Robinson thought ****erson was loafing, running half speed. At least that’s what it looked like from the tower Robinson watched practice from. He came down from the tower and watched from a sideline vantage point. Robinson said his hair blew back, ****erson ran past him by so fast.

It’s not a secret, it’s probably true. But having a member of the program tell the press that? I wouldn’t be happy if I was Manny, let alone Thomas.
I agree, but it was passively written and not attributed. Who is ‘UM’ who believes that? Like Lu said, could be a writer just over his skis. It was also caveated with ‘some level’ which made it softer. IMO it was more a lead into the comment on his ability.

At WR, IMO Osborn, Thomas, Pope and Payton will be in top 5. Hightower, Wiggins and Njoku fighting for the big guy spot.

which is why i asked for those who broke down the qb commits/recruits under enos at UM to see if they fit the PP traditional mold or the DT mold. would give us some kind of idea what enos prefers
Smart coaches tailor their offense around what their QB does best; Donny Enos is a smart coach.
