No need for logic and reason around these parts.
No need for logic and reason around these parts.
Fixed it for you
Both of which make me the key to a good pound cake: Moist.
This would defy reality in today's game. Last year, 3 players led the nation with 2 PR TDs. About 30 had 1. Four player led the country in KR TDs, with 2 each. About 32 had 1. These numbers out off all the kicks in the entire season from all the teams.I just want to hear about a more concerned effort into housing more kickoffs and punt returns....
What is this?

ACCN is featuring each team before the season starts. Next Mo day-8/23 - is Miami’s day. What is this?
Very cool!ACCN is featuring each team before the season starts. Next Mo day-8/23 - is Miami’s day.
In addition, they did a feature story on the Canes with practice footage, team meetings, player interviews and other Beni d the scenes stuff. Part airs 8/23 and the second part on Wednesday 9/1. Big exposure for Canes
Was able to convince Jose to come here. Which also helped recruit Andres to come here too. Also helped get Hedley to stay another year when he could easily have gone pro and come back later for his degree.Agreed. Though I'd imagine it was more attributed to things like it being Jose's last season before going pro aka his money year, and Hedley is like 26 years old, so he's a grown *** man. Patke said in an interview that he treated them like pros and they basically told him whether or not they were practicing haha. That leads me to believe them getting better was more related to them having the other intangibles (such as an improved strength & conditioning situation as compared to their prior situations, etc)
I have no ill will towards Patke, and he is probably a great strikers coach, but ST is definitely lacking imo. Us going out and getting already good punters & kickers doesn't have anything to do with his ability as a ST coach.
The team had some holes last year (O line, WRs that could catch, LBs, etc) and I think PR/KR and kicking coverages were one that was suspect.
It's not Mark Richts playbook with mirrored photo copies of existing plays lol.The other part?
Simple.
Instead of running inside zone just to the right of the center for no gain, we will run inside zone just to the left of the center for no gain.
I kid....
Rambo is the deal, game breaker that must be respected. The only knock is he’ll be automatic catching the ball then out of nowhere drop one. Almost like it was too easy or a layup. Nothing like the drop brothers but just a small gripe.FWIW, i have a buddy/source who was at a recent "closed" practice, first time seeing the team in person and had this to say:
was really impressed with Rambo, said he was a smooth operator and really uses his hands well to catch the ball, impressed with smith at WR as well.
said Amari carter looks like a freakshow physically and has to be on the field in some capacity
jon ford is by far the largest dude on the defense. also ford has a really quick step and was often the first off the line on the snap, but he is not very smooth and does not have much of a finesse game.
and said X made a jaw dropping TD catch against Keyshawn Washington. said he likes Washington too, more of a good D better O situation.
As much as people can **** on a special teams coach and questioning whether a coach actually had influence on a special teams player improving, here is the thing: The progression and the positive development has been too good to say "Patke had nothing to do with that", especially in two positions where technique is key.Yeah, I’m not really sure how much Patke played a role in it but Hedley and Borregales both played better at Miami than they had at their previous schools. Hedley averaged under 40 yards per punt at JC and Borregales went from 72% at FIU to 91% at Miami. Can I say that’s a direct result of Patke’s coaching? Not really but they did get a lot better here.
Not surprising, again, watch the spring game. If he puts it together this season, he will get drafted for sure.jon ford is by far the largest dude on the defense. also ford has a really quick step and was often the first off the line on the snap, but he is not very smooth and does not have much of a finesse game.
Simpson returning was the best thing that could have happened for Ford. Not surprising, again, watch the spring game. If he puts it together this season, he will get drafted for sure.
