PractiSe. Tuesday 8/24

The biggest concern for our Oline is their run Defense and opening up lanes. Bama has not been dominant, or not even great or elite in their pass rush over the last several years. I think we will do well against the pass. Blitz pick up could be an issue but hopefully that won't be an issue.
I dont think Bama has ever had an elite pass rusher in Sabans era of defense. MAYBE Courtney Upshaw. But their scheme doesnt focus on getting to the QB as fast as possible like ours does. From what I can gather, its stopping the run at all costs and making teams one dimensional.

That's what happens when your life becomes so worthless, you feel it's necessary to spread negative & toxic energy. If these individuals had any self-respect they would just isolate themselves & commit suicide, instead making the rest of the world suffer through their unbearable personalities & character flaws. Smh
Jesus man. This is just as toxic as what you're complaining about. Do better.

Bizarre to me that they wouldn't have Harrell practice at safety for emergencies.
Was Harrell not a good fit there, hence the move to CB?

Ding ding ding

Ah, so then that means Blades isn’t the worst CB, he’s the best! They wouldn’t have him first in line out of the CBs to fill in at safety unless he was the most talented and seasoned of them and could handle it. And he must be the best tackler because everyone knows our safeties have to tackle!

Amirite?

Anderson is a true soph former 5-star who will go rd 1 in 2023.
These are the guys that concern me

They do this year, Will Anderson is elite. Him alone will give our OL all they can handle.

Will Anderson will probably be top 3 pass-rusher that we face this year. Chris Allen isn't a pushover either. Zion has to participate AND play up to his draft stock in order for your prediction to come true. I'm more concerned about them blitzing tbh; they do a great job disguising it and it almost always works.

Exactly lol.

Al is far behind , he had the health issue then an injury. We have our outside cb's locked in and the nickel guy ( Couch). So it's hard for him to get reps there and there's also guys nicked up at safety. So there's extra repa to be taken there, which is common if there's guys missing in a grouping . You can also get a look at him there and maybe use him down the road. He still has a ways to go though.

Most honest assessment of ones own aptitude I have ever witnessed on CIS. I now look forward to your next uniform thread, good sir.

Rok makes most of his statements on here with tongue in cheek.

That being said, in reality, it's definitely time to get a little nervous on Zion. Especially with Campbell out indefinitely. It's not panic time yet, we know the kid is a good player and if he gets a few practices in he should be fine. We're still 11 days out. But he has to get a few full practices in. This situation is a little easier as a skill kid. As a tackle, having your first live reps against Bama's front is not a recipe for success. I would think if he's not full go by the weekend, this becomes a major situation.

Who in the **** here are TRUE Hurricane fans??? How is that guys here talk so much **** and throw so much shade and negativity towards current players on Miami's squad??? Why can't Miami have really good players and have them recognized NATIONALLY for the hard work, commitment and dedication they put in on and off the field.

I've been around off and on since 2014 and it NEVER use to be like this.

I hope we redshirt Al Blades and have him available for four games due to emergency reasons.
he still has another year of eligibility after this season so there is no point of redshirting him (there is 0% chance that he comes back for 2023 season).

Yes. He’s a CIS celebrity troll/schtick.

Maybe he's keeping Zion out to start rumors. That way Bama will try to exploit what they perceive as a weakness and instead be attacking the strongest part of our line.

Not true they have led the country in sacks they led the country in sacks in 2015-16 with 54 and 52 sacks. They were tied for 7th last year and had 45 and 40 also in the last couple years. This ain't the same defense they ran from 2007-14. After that they've played way less 3-4 and play more 4-2-5 and 3-3-5. Anderson and Allen along with their backups sanders and braswell are going to be a problem. Especially Anderson who led the country with 60 hurries last year. They still play the run first but they penetrate more than they used to. Jonathan Allen had double digit sacks two years in a row at de. Tim Williams was getting tons of sacks too. They've had others I can't even think of their names.

Meh. I'll give you Jonathan Allen. Forgot about him. But for a team that has had probably 30+ guys go in the first round on defense the past 14 years...you would think they would have alot more since their defenses are year in and year out top 5-10 in the country.

Will Anderson is supposed to be that dude so we will see in 2 weeks. I like Zion to hold his own.

Alot of yall are really sleeping on a kid that has started every game since he was a Tr-Fr and has only gotten better since. And where most mock drafts have going in the first round in this years draft. This isnt Freeman Brown we are trotting out there. Zion is a man too.
