I think Harris will be a high floor/low ceiling type (best case scenario is a Mo Sikes type). The drop off in depth from there is steep and we'd pretty much have to move Richard to safety and rely on a true freshman in Zay and/or Isaiah Taylor. Markeith Williams just hasn't put on the necessary weight to be physical enough
IMO, I think being in Guidry's system 2 yrs should make Harris have that 2nd step. We have Chevious who was with Guidry before, and he should have a better impact coaching than Addae. We will see if Fall camp closes the learning curve, cause the athletic ability is there.

Been too bad too long to not be skeptical.

However, this team and the results WILL be different than what we’ve become accustomed to.

It’s tough to put into words how just how deep, talented, and physical this team is compared to those of the past 20 years.

You'd have to add 2-3 roster years worth of talent combined of some of the teams over the last 20 miserable years to equal the amount of football players on roster.

Going to be fun.

Understand the concern but I think Harris will step up and have a good year, he got valuable rep filling in for Cam so starting won't be new to him. The reserves lack playing time so depth is more my concern. 2nd year in the same system should help their development.
With our pass rush, we don't need no stinkin' safeties.

For the folks that were here during the seasons leading up to the 'chips of 01/02, was the sentiment of the board and team practice hype similar?
