Powell

This thread is hilarious just a couple weeks you wouldn't have thought Powell was even committed to this school the way most were slobbing all over cook. This board gets worse by the day. Its nonstop golden bashing over any and everything then crying over recruits that weren't coming here in the first place.

I don't think we can blame this on Golden. Admissions needs to help him out... Lets wait and see... Lockley, Griffin and AJL are other matters but this one wreaks admissions.

Isn't he an A student.

I meant the Admissions Office not the student... Mistakes happen... I received an acceptance letter from a particular school during my sophomore year of college... I sent the application out 2 years earlier...

Why are we waiting until the last minute to make sure the kid is good to go? Maybe if golden wasn't flirting with Penn State last week he could had made sure the kid was good to go!

It's a dead period. But that's probably Golden's fault too, right?

One of his tweets said he leaves Friday so that could explain why he's not there yet. Can't link on phone

That is because a couple of weeks ago the University of Miami did not look like the laughing stock of the college football.

Things that have happened since a couple of weeks ago

- blown out in a bowl game by players that we chose not to recruit/offer
- one of our top 3 recruits decommitted
- goRlden has the WOAT press conference that everybody could see through
- now have lost 3 of the top 4 RBs we went after
- WE STILL HAVE DORITO
- goRlden has gained another 10lbs from eating Crispy Creme donuts and has gone from a B-cup to a C-cup

...other than that, things are trending UP!

/we still have the pillars!

Powell signed a financial aid agreement. Golden/UM can talk to that kid as much as he wants. Find another reason.

Not disputing that there may be an issue and Florida is probably coming hard after Powell in the wake of losing Cook. And Muschump is the master of negative recruiting. But don't buy the whole story. If Miami admissions has raised some questions (only assuming this is the case), then how could an esteemed institution like Florida not have similiar concerns? Good guess is that the issue with admissions, if there is one, has to do with online/correspondence courses taken to graduate HS early. Another good guess is the NCAA eligibility center would have the same questions whether Powell sought eligibility at Miami or Florida.
And maybe I have missed something, but none of the other EEs from Florida have shown up yet or been cleared for admissions. So why no buzz about that, Pete? They dont talk, either?

I think something might be up with him. He reached out to Quincy Wilson on twitter yesterday and Powell's brother reached out to Chad. Look at Powell's timeline on twitter right now. He's tweeting some weird things and he's not on campus yet.

Hope I'm wrong, just giving a heads up

Pete the puppet master. Sending the board into a frenzy.

I haven't seen anywhere that lists him as signing an agreement. Maybe I'm overlooking it, but I don't see it.
