A coach on vacation is not required to check in every hour with canes fans on blogs.
His boss said he had been in communications with him since the Shiit hit the fan, and that's why he made a statement Sunday instead of waiting for the Monday scheduled press conference or the Rose show.

So you are going to argue semantics? Recruits were trying to get in contact with him since as early as Friday and were getting stonewalled through Sunday. What is so difficult to understand? There's a reason why it's being reported that Powell reached out to UF and it's because Al wasn't taking phone calls.

I love The University of Miami, and I'm not some young kid who uses the word "love" about everything.
I love my wife, some of my family, and The U. That's it for me.
As much as I care for The U, most of the crap I've read on here the past week would make me sit back and wonder about why so many "fans" hate the coach who is recruiting me.

I can't imagine how all the hate you people spew affects the mind of a 17 year old kid.
At the very minimum it would plant seeds of doubt.

Actually Wildcat who knows Feliciano told us that players believed he was gone, also that the Golden wasn't talking to players on the team came from Matt Porter of the PBpost.

Again, that is also just speculation. Players and coaches have been on vacation.
I'm not doubting wildcat knows feliciano, but I'm also pretty sure feliciano didn't poll 100 players all on vacation in one day.
Porter knows as much as Degnan, who seems intent on keeping the fires fueled no matter the evidence to the contrary.

The only truth in this whole fiasco comes from the people at the center of it, not people outside the restaurant watching and wondering.
Golden and James all say the same thing. He's the head coach at Miami.

Porter named names. Morris and McDermott he cited as guys who hadn't heard from Golden. The president of the University even told the Herald they didn't know what was going on. Does that read like a coach that was keeping everyone in the loop? Specifically his boss? Dude went underground.
