Powell decides to stay home

Hurlie and Coley been doing work bruh

I have a feeling both will be here for a long time, too.
Hurlie **** sure will but Coley is gonna be in high demand but i dont think he leaves until he has a BIG job offer

We're getting ahead of ourselves, and I don't mean to threadjack a great write up, but if the Don bolts for the NFL in a few years (and I think that's the only way he leaves), then Coley would give his left nut to step into the big man's shoes.

Im not expecting the Don to leave though

I think we are good at the RB position for 2014, with or without Cook now. Powell & Yearby would be a solid RB class for anybody.

I like how Golden understands that just b/c u grew up a fan of a rival school doesnt mean that he aint goin after you..... its about time elite athletes, who grew up fans of FSU and Florida, end up at the U instead of always losing talented players, who grew up Miami fans, to FSU and Florida.

Miami has convinced Trent Harris & Brandon Powell to betray they childhood teams, that's some special recruiting. Best recruiting coaches in Miami since 2000.

Both were committed to SEC schools for all of you who say we can't pull them over from the dark side.

Is this the first kid from So. Florida who said he wanted his family to be able to see him play live and didn't then immediately commit to the University of Anchorage?

Welcome to the U young fella. Just another weapon for James Coley to play with.

I would put our group of recruiters up against anyone in the country. Miami isn't a school for everyone, the elite guys that want to go to a huge university for instance, but the relentless style this staff goes about things is second to none.

lol at a summer offer being "late"

Made me laugh at first, just happy to have him as a committ.

Its part of why you see so much shuffling around NSD with so many big schools. Yeah elite guys wait but you have to get offers and commits so early these days that if you wait until they are seniors, its too late. That same soph or Jr could not develop or take a step back (IE Keef Bryant) then you have to make a move for guys that blow up their senior years.

"After making his de-commitment from Tennessee public, Powell received some nasty messages from Volunteer fans, but that’s not something he is concerned with..."

Funny thing is if it were the other way around and he de-commited from us he probably would've gotten worse messages.

According to a friend whose son plays for STA, Coach Casullo held a meeting for the parents of seniors on the team last week and told the parents that if the rising seniors don't have D-1 offers at this point, they probably won't have a D-1 offer. The game has really changed over the last 10-15 years.
