Richts not going anywhere after this season and Miami is not going to hire a Peterson type to be an OC. I think Richt will be forced to hire an OC if this continues. He is rich enough to take a pay-cut

- Matt Canada (Pitts OC) - Not sure he would leave Pitt as they seem dedicated to improving football. His play calling has been fantastic and he did very well at previous stops with much worse talent.
- Fleck - He will have a ton of looks as a head coach but he might want to come to the P5 with Miami's talent and coach Offense a few years. Could replace Richt in a couple years.
- Tagard (USF HC) - Again would he take a non-HC position? USF is putting up 40+ against P5

Why would Willie go from HC to OC?

What Richt needs to do is hop in a van with his offensive staff and drive 4 hours to go get a clinic from him. That's what our offense should look like.

Richt will be forced to hire an OC? LOL... what planet do you live on to think Blake would make this power move?

Also, this is his first year. I would give him the benefit of doubt to get things fixed by next year.

I am troubled that he hasn't adjusted enough to at least get more points on the board and help the O-Line out but I think Richt is a guy that will not run an offense unless he has repped it 1,000 times over so getting him to throw in anything major schematic wise during this season is not happening.

I made mention of this in another thread. I'm cool with him not getting an OC, so long as himself, younger Richt, and Thomas Brown go visit other teams to implement a new style of play. ****, Tressel visited us way back after we won the national title in 2001.

See example of delusional fan. The dude is one of the hottest names in coaching at the moment. He will probably backfill one of the open positions at power five (e.g. UNC) if their coach gets hired by a Texas, LSU, etc.

Taking over as a coordinator under a guy who is on the tail end of his coaching career at a school like Miami is not out of the realm of possibilities. You say a coach who has never been a head coach at a P5 school and is 37-45 as a head coach in sub divisions is going to get sweped up to a major div one program?

However this is also a chance for you to suggest candidates. If people think the solution is to have the coaches go visit a couple schools in the off-season... well.

It's Taggart and he inherited a mess from Skip Holtz at USF he will be hard for USF to hold onto

Any OC who comes here will not call plays.

He'll be more of a game planner, and that's fine. Richt might let him script an opening drive or two.

It is out of the realm of possible. You don't take a demotion to coordinator, ever. Show me one example of a head coach at D1 football program leaving on a successful tenure, becoming a head coach in waiting at another program.

Most likely scenario is Mike Bobo gets fired from Colorado St in a couple years and then reunited with Richt.

Dude gets $4 million a year. He better have something better than a van to ride in.

You just named 2 coaches who are going to get Power 5 gigs. When in the HISTORY of football has a FBS head coach left to become an offensive coordinator at another FBS program voluntarily. Go ******* sit in the corner for a while. Definitely stop posting.

Go look at Taggart's offensive stats his first two seasons. Worse than Richts. Point is it may take a couple of years to get the players you need to make YOUR offense work.
