Didn't graduated from University of Miami but a Broward Community College alum no more excuses people! Season ticket myself. I think we will see more butts in the seats this year. PACK THE ROCK!

20k went to each school. 25k went to corporate sponsors/local area businesses/orange bowl committee/orange bowl ticket packages.

this was not a HOME GAME. it was a neutral site game that happened to be at home.

blame UM fans for not buying tickets that went on sale in the secondary market and UM fans who did get seats in the UM section putting their tickets on sale. in my section, people were literally walking in mid first quarter because they bought tickets right before kick

i was at the game as were many i know. i walked all levels of miami allocation. it was essentially all miami with scattered exceptions. that was not remotely the issue and others saying the issue vs your explanation are honestly ignorant at best, dumb****s at worst.

Most Miami fans have only been to Miami games. Either HRS or the Orange Bowl. A lot of them have never been to an on campus college stadium. Most of them suck. Really old concrete structures with metal bleachers. Parking is often in a random lot on campus that may be half a mile from the stadium. **** most on campus stadiums didn’t even sell beer until recently.

It’s actually quite simple. They bought the tickets earlier. The tickets were on sale before we knew who was actually playing in the game. By the time Miami had punched their ticket, the only way you could buy a ticket was on the secondary market and they started at $3000.

That was a very small allotment of tickets made available to the public. The bulk of tickets were held back for corporate sponsors, and the participating teams. There's a reason why the tickets were so expensive on the secondary market, there was an insatiable demand and limited inventory. Keep in mind, Hard Rock only seats 65k. Around 20k tickets went to each school, another 10k went to VIPs and corporate sponsors (That's likely a low estimate, I've heard closer to 15k were made available to those groups, most were premium seats), which means around 10-15k were in the general presale. Once you account for scalpers and brokers buying tickets expressly for resale, that number drops to 5-8k(at best).

You can tell the 'Canes that have been to road games and those that haven't, especially in these conversations. Our fans don't realize how lucky we are to play in a facility like Hard Rock. We aren't using **** troughs like people did two thousand years ago, we aren't sitting on metal bleachers and we aren't worried about where we will park. Keep in mind, this is Miami, the typical Miami fan in the stadium has absolutely no connection to the University whatsoever, so they are unlikely to spend money to watch us in a random regular season game, in a facility that offers few creature comforts.

People forget that the OB only filled out when the opponent was **** good and there were legit stakes. People also forget that our attendance has improved at Hard Rock, merely because casual fans have options to watch the game, entertain clients and be comfortable at the same time.

The athletic department is in the business of generating revenue, not noise.

Big games at HRS are plenty loud and a big home field advantage.

For the record I like HRS. It’s actually one of the nicer stadiums in CFB, but it’s not our stadium. I guess I still have PTSD from the OB being torn down but it’s just not the same and never will be. The best way I can describe it is you got a fancy car like a Ferrari or Lamborghini that a buddy of yours let’s you use on the weekend. Beautiful car. Then you got that old 289 Mustang in the garage. Not as nice as those other cars, but it has character and most importantly it’s yours. One of those cars represents HRS, and the other represents the OB. As much as other schools like to rag on us though, we’re recruiting as well as anyone in the country and we just played for a NC. So obviously, it’s had no impact on the bigger picture of the program. Plus, I feel like this topic is a waste of time anyways because we both know there’s no way this will ever happen(new on-campus stadium). In a way, I guess I’m more so reminiscing about the old days and how much I miss it.

Here is our storied 2001 season at the OB against Temple. Young fans will never realize this is the way it was and always will be. Miami is NOT a college town.

Man Hard Rock is GREAT for the fans. The amenities on every level are designed for fan ease of use and enjoyment. I took a buddy from Boston to a UM / BC game back when Richt was coaching, and the Eagles "on campus" stadium was a total nightmare. Stadium is on campus but NO PARKING ... all parking is at several lots a couple of miles away and they use school buses to drop fans at campus .... then you walk a mile to the stadium. AMENITIES at Eagles stadium? Good luck .... went for 2 hot dogs at half time and stood in line for over 25 minutes while two little old ladies casually distributed hot dogs (that were cold and old) to fans lined up in narrow hallways. Bathrooms the same. Hard Rock is a virtual palace compared to any "college" stadium. I love my Club seats and the amenities associated with them.

It was borderline unsafe after taking hits from a couple hurricanes in the mid 2000’s.

UM wanted renovations to add some luxury boxes but really the whole place needed renovations just to not collapse. I loved going to games there over the years but by the end, she was literally falling apart.

This was another hump year performance-wise following what Cam did; wouldn't surprise me to see all-time season ticket sales for '26. Mensah transferring maintains high expectations.

these kids are more into the socials and getting seen in the hip spots around the city than a football game unless its a big game. combine that with all the greek tailgates being on campus now.
