ok nevermind. When the Canes are winning there's nothing more hip than being at a game.

I went to the Stanford game this year and the student section was empty. Apparently, football games aren’t cool enough to compete with Fantasy Fest. When the Canes are winning there's nothing more hip than being at a game.

Today's student participation is tomorrow's alumni engagement.Nah, you and others miss the point...
Taking a charter bus to HRS from Coral Gables is a different level of planning and commitment when compared to several stops on the metrorail to culmner or civic center.
I've experienced both and I'm a big []__[] fan, but the waiting on both ends of a charter were enough to make me stay on campus. The bus rides kill student participation; especially against weaker opponents.
Drive then. Like the other 98% of the people who go to games. I understand UM students are mostly coddled rich kids but taking a free, air conditioned charter bus to the football stadium isn’t some horrific nightmare. I went to UCF when they played their home games in the Citrus Bowl. Nowhere near campus. We just drove to the stadium. The only people who got bussed were fraternities that chartered their own buses.Nah, you and others miss the point...

You beat me to it. Was just going to post something similar. Been this way since I got to campus in 1993 and I suspect was that way for many years before I got here. The big games are electric but when it's not a big game, we've all seen the results. Here is our storied 2001 season at the OB against Temple. Young fans will never realize this is the way it was and always will be. Miami is NOT a college town.
