Attendance for the Bethune game this season was 60,617.

So ya, people want a stadium that we can actually sell out consistently with die hard fans. I don’t blame them. But I agree that 20-25k is obviously not enough.

Unfortunately; I don’t see a solution to this problem. Just have to keep playing at Hard Rock.

Each school was given 20k seats and then the remaining 25k went to "the public" months before the game.

The split was probably 60/40 overall.

Did you go to the game? If not, STFU.

I find it very hard to believe that many Indiana fans paid $4000 a ticket. Somehow they got access to them earlier. I knew a TON of Miami fans that wanted to go and just couldn't get tickets because of availability and price.

I also think they need to investigate the pricing in the secondary market for that game. Something was definitely up.

LOL nothing nefarious happened man.

20k went to each school. 25k went to corporate sponsors/local area businesses/orange bowl committee/orange bowl ticket packages.

this was not a HOME GAME. it was a neutral site game that happened to be at home.

blame UM fans for not buying tickets that went on sale in the secondary market and UM fans who did get seats in the UM section putting their tickets on sale. in my section, people were literally walking in mid first quarter because they bought tickets right before kick

i have no clue how people dont understand how neutral site games work. indiana didnt have access to seats before us. they didnt have access to any special areas.

20k each to schools just as any other neutral site bowl game and 25k to corporate sponsors/orange bowl ticket packages/and local businesses. blame the people in the 25k who received tickets before the school seats were allocated that put their tickets on sale and indiana fans buying them up.

at the end of the day, canes fans are local fans and they werent gonna drop 4k to go to a game.

The dim bulbs fail to understand that a true home game has 45,000 season ticket holders whose tickets are sold before the season even starts.

this. even with the first round games, even ATM didnt have their season tickets honored. all donors were placed in a pool (like us) to have a chance to buy tickets based on level.

the playoff games are not home games even if played in the home stadium. theyre handled by the CFP
 
Hard rock needs to get rid of the Aqua seats. They look awful on TV and in pictures.

They need to switch back to orange, the classic dolphin green, or go grey.

The aqua is painful to look at

the orange was equally horrible to look at on tv which is one of the reasons they switched to aqua.

If they’d built a 60,000 seat stadium perhaps, but it’s wayyy too small. Only chance of ever getting a stadium is a massive donor (not Ruiz who isn’t involved much anymore) somehow convincing Dade County to rezone half of tropical park for it

For the 10000th time, the issue isn't stadium location. There just aren't that many hardcore fans who want to go to the non "big" games. You get a sense of this at the big games. I haven't been in years since I moved out of Miami but for the big games, especillay night games I'd always be surrounded by people who didn't know the game, didn't know the players, didn't know anything. They were there because it was an event. These people aren't coming to a 2:30pm game vs. Wake when it's 88 degress with a 60% chance of rain.

But even with that we'll draw 40k at least. They're not moving to a baby soccer stadium.

Yea Cane fan from Palm Beach Country won't drive to Hard Rock to watch Miami beat up on Wake Forest, but they will drive further to watch them beat them in their own stadium.
