For all of you saying fire Swasey you dont know what you are talking about. I am an NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist and NASM performance enhancement specialist and in the S&C community Swasey is highly respected. All this crap about they dont look the part or they are not in shape dont even realize how utterly ridiculous you sound.

Yeah thats right I have no idea what I am talking about so why dont you enlighten me on the subject and educate me? We have gotten pushed around and this is mostly Swaseys fault not playing freshman and underclassmen, lack of recruiting till recently, coaching techniques or scheme. It is mostly S&C you guys are laughable. Either give examples of what needs to change or keep quite.

Swasey ain't the problem he has done a great job developing um's football players. They are getting bigger and stronger ever year. Our entire starting LB group is **** near 240lbs of muscle and benching 225 more then most of the Lbs in this past nfl combine. I think Miami is good in the S&C dept.

Swasey has been at a S&C coach at MIAMI for 20 years. 12 as the Head. "impressed with him and his staff."-----AG

In 2011 only 11 players could do 225 pounds at least 20 times and 0 did it over 30 times.

In 2012, 36 players could bench press 225 pounds at least 20 times and 7 more could bench 225 pounds at least 30 times.

In 2013, the team has 36 players over 20 reps and there are 11 players over 30 reps. One player, Cory King has over 40 reps at 225lbs.

I don't get the S&C argument. I thought it was well understood that under coker and shannon S&C began to fall off eventually leading to Golden coming in and being shocked at how weak the team was. I don't know S&C and I won't pretend to. But the results speak for themselves. I'm all for another person giving input to the S&C if they are qualified. But in terms of Swasey I don't see anything wrong with the results we are getting under golden

I've seen old videos of Swasey training our guys (back in 2006 I think) & his squat teachings/techniques are so archaic (e.g. looking UP at the ceiling during the lift, etc).

Regardless - I believe Swasey's real shortcomings are in the nutrition and performance enhancing side of the game.

Now what caused S&C to fall off? I refuse to believe that ****er and Shannon told Swasey to just let the kids do their own thing. S&C fell off bc Swasey was begin the wheel. So AG came in and told Swasey to pick it up? Highy doubt it! The guy hasn't proved his worth. If Shalala have 2 ***** about this program a decade ago like she does now.. We wouldn't have a issue.

Swasey has no background in nutrition either. We just hand out muscle milks and tell kids to eat a lot. Does UM even have a nutritionist just for the FB TEAM? I've never heard of one...

No Swasey is not a certified nutritionist and it wasnt until Golden got here that we have a nutritionist on staff and mandatory team breakfasts as well. Nutrition is 80% of results and unlike every other big time program we never had the nutrition covered until last year hence the underweight players all over the field before last year.

During Swaseys first stint at UM he was just an assistant to Moffit and later returned to be the Co-head S&C coach just specializing in speed and agility! Moffit left and he was promoted just like Coker was. The dude graduated from Baylor with a degree in sociology, not exercise science. The guy is under qualified. Try again you punk *****
