It cut off before he could clarify if he really meant his last football game and not with the U. Hopefully he goes on record to clear that up because NFL scouts will definitely look into that and if he does want to be drafted, that statement could hurt!

Wouldn't surprise me if Chad decides to not pursue the NFL. That kid's got a bright future in the music industry and already has connections. It'd be nice to see him do both if possible. Always nice to have some spare money lying around.

Seems like you take your shot at the NFL now, it's not like you can circle back to that when you're older.
 
Agree. Take the NFL's money, he will be a mid rounder and those contracts will be around $3M.

Agreed, same time I could never blame someone with such enormous talent spurning the NFL. What a **** show that organization is, and why even risk your long term health at 21 years old if it’s not your passion?

That's your money quote. If you're looking for a reason to be optimistic, you should feel better that the QB coach has isolated the problem and formulated a solution. What it tells me is that Malik basically caught what golfers call "the shanks," where your mechanics have gotten slightly off and now you can't hit a simple shot to save your life.

It's his choice, I have no idea what his goals are, and I wouldn't blame him if he didn't want to continue to beat up his body/brain. He's lucky to have a fall-back career in which he can make a ton of money.
