Post how you feel going into this Notre Dame game

Here is one thing I find interesting. If ND had a QB who could just sling it as well as run I would be more concerned. If they run for 250 yards and only throw for 150. That's 400 yards. That's decent in terms of holding a good team down. If they were equally proficient it would be more scary for us. Im actually more excited because they are a runnijf team. Like I said they gain less than 300 yards v UGA and 355 v MSU.

I view ND like GT, if you turn the ball over a bunch of times and don't cause any they can run away from you. You can't allow pick 6s and they have a few this year. I want us to go deep on the pass. Thats what we are good at and we can force PI. I think they will get around 400 yards. I kinda figure how Diaz defends these teams. He will have everyone attack Adams which will leave the ball in Wimbush hands and he will get some yards rushing and then we can force Turnovers if he throws and hit him hard when he runs. Then play great redzone D and force FGs is they get close. Teams like NC St got worn down because they have a good starting unit on D but very poor backups. We play alot of players on D and we are fresh in the 4th.

I think Deejay may have a big game on O. That boy has great vision. And he seem a little more consistent than Homer to me in terms of always picking up yards, whether 2,3, or 4. That's a huge difference in 3rd and 3 to 3rd and 7 or 8. I hope he plays alot more and I hope to see alot of him in the QB position in the redzone.

These posers were 4-8 last year. This was a Cane win all the way prior to the season.

It still is. 14 in a row baby.

Go Canes!!!!

Ive said it to almost anyone who wants to talk football. If we play a complete game... we can beat anyone! Outside of MR 3 picks and our failed first redzone trip- we dismantled VT. Their QB didnt want the pain anymore. I love the fact that we are the underdog this week again. CMR can talk about how he doesn't talk to the team about rankings and image, but I can guarantee UMs players know all about the national disrespect. We have people calling us THUGS. This team is taking it personal and it shows. I love it.

Feels great to hated again.

We roll!

I think it's a bad matchup for us. They limit the big play and make us drive the field, that's not what we do. We're terrible at third down conversions and we rely on big plays to get in the endzone. On the other side of the ball, run d is our weakness and running the ball is their strength.

But I don't care. We're on a magical run and having a season of destiny. The crowd will be insane and our guys will find a way to win. I feel good.

I was more worried about Virginia Tech than I am about Notre Dame. Virginia Tech is a more rounded team. They're better by ten fold on defense, and they're more balanced on offense.

What Notre Dame does well, they do extremely well, but that's pretty much all they're good at. Yes, they're going to try to run the ball behind that big o-line, but we're going to put 8 in the box against their 6 and dare them to try to either run against numbers or win some one on one match ups. I don't think their receivers are good enough to win the one on ones. I don't think their QB is a good enough passer to make the type of throws necessary to beat good coverage. And I don't think, as great as their O-line is, that they can consistently win the 6 on 8 battle. They're gonna gash us on some runs, but mostly on qb runs when they should have passed but were unable to.

On defense they're going to play 2 and 3 high, regularly sending 3 and dropping 8 into coverage. We have lived by the chunk plays this year, but ND is going to do their best to limit that. We're going to have to do our best to not get bored running Homer for 4 or throwing a 6 yard pass to Herendon. We don't need to be pretty. We need to be patient against this look. Let them adjust because when they do adjust, they will adjust to what we really wanted to do in the first place. Once they bring down a safety to stuff the zone read, Thomas or Richards should start seeing one on one looks. And God help any slow *** ND defender trying to guard JT or AR one on one.

I was just thinking. What two games of the season did we get the most disrespect? Imo before Duke and before VT. Results 31-6 and 28- 10. FSU, GT, UNC and Syracuse everyone said we would win big. We squeak by.

So now we come to this week and the disrespect has increased ten fold.

I see dead bodies.

I really hope you put 8 in the box and disrespect the pass game. We don't pass a lot because we don't have to. Wimbush is about a 50% passer, but he could easily be in the 60s. That completion percentage isn't all on Wimbush.

Lol GTFO... better more rounded offense ??? Your a ****** moron who knows jack **** with comments like that.. you will be on for rude awakening sat night.

I have a feeling our team was reminded of the ND QB's prediction of a dominating win often and will play with even more intensity than last week. Canes win and a second round of crow is served to everyone doubting us.

Confident this defense will rise to the challenge just lime against VT and our offense will expose an average to below average defense

Um the ND d didn’t give up more than 20 points in a gm until last week which was more of a case gm was never in doubt in 2nd half and 4 yr Qb with good RPO schemes.. bottom line there is better chance of ND scoring 30 on Miami than vice versa as ND O has wider gap on Miami O than Miami D to ND D..

You were saying???

We aren't losing at The Rock to a one dimensional offense.

If that is what u think ??? Not playing Navy or GA tech while ND is indeed run first and one of the best doing it they have improved weekly passing ball and have become more balanced. If Miami overcommits to run they will get burned on some long passes. Wimbush was #1 duel threat coming out of Hs for a reason..

Georgia Tech gave us a much better game. Navy would have also. For that matter the Merchant Mariner Academy would have as well.
