Post how you feel going into this Notre Dame game

I think I felt a lot more nervous going into VT. That is the type of game we got beat handily over the last ten years. Rivalry game against a tough conference opponent with the division on the line. We consistently lost that game under the last few coaches.

If there was any game we could afford to lose this season, it was this one. Yet, if we step up and take it at home next week then we are in it for everything!

I felt pretty good going into VT. But ND typically plays a tough schedule nationally and recruit well. I am more concerned about consistency on offense. We just can't score unless we make big plays and they will take that away. Their defense is good like VT but not as aggressive in that they will force you to have to go long drives. Can Malik make good decisions and not have too many turnovers, our receivers hang on to the ball to keep drives going, and can we have some semblance of a running game to keep their defense honest?

I am certainly hopeful but feeling somewhat guarded. Finally we have a stadium that is becoming an intimidating place for opponents to play. They will not have it easy for sure. Our defense will play tough and emotional for sure. ND will have their work cut out for them and if they win, props to them.
I actually think scoring in big plays is our best option. We can string a couple a drives together but we are not there. It will be important to see what ND try to take away. I'm confident we can run it inside since #55 is back at Guard. We can't turn the ball over, but we finished even basically with VT and won by 18. I just think the intensity and violence we bring will shock ND. We have a different type of player now. They expect to win. They are not burden by the past.

I feel like a Miami fan should feel.

CONFIDENT!!!!

After leaving the stadium last weekend I felt like we have this game in the bag.

Confident we're the toughest team they've played this season and confident they'll know it from the first snap.

Exactly right except that statement is reversed. ND easily best team Miami played while Georgia was better than Miami and USC,Mich State, NC State all at least on Miami’s level.
Nice try troll. We are the best team you will play this season.

PS that little magical leprechaun of yours is a criminal.

LULZ.

one thing is for sure. The environment/intensity of the moment will be nothing like these guys have faced at all this season. It will be nothing like East Lansing. You just can't prepare for what they will be thrown into.

Confident this defense will rise to the challenge just lime against VT and our offense will expose an average to below average defense

Um the ND d didn’t give up more than 20 points in a gm until last week which was more of a case gm was never in doubt in 2nd half and 4 yr Qb with good RPO schemes.. bottom line there is better chance of ND scoring 30 on Miami than vice versa as ND O has wider gap on Miami O than Miami D to ND D..
ND gave up 40 points to Wake at home . u saying we can't score 30 on them at home? Child please

As long as we play with nothing to lose we should be just fine. ND is supposed to win (Vegas/"Experts"). We have wrapped up the Coastal and lets be honest, nobody thought we were truly playoff ready this year. Its a great feeling and we are a fun team to watch.

Play smart fundamental ball and see what happens. I think Richt will throw in some new wrinkles ala VT opening series to keep ND thinking. If we can weather the first QTR and play tough, I think we have a great chance.

People are saying, our Dline vs their Oline but I really think this hinges on our Oline and their D Line. Oline needs to get push and open lanes so we can stay somewhat balanced.

I feel like we're going to go out there and shock the college football world and lay our claim to the #1 ranking.

Made a thread on here yesterday that we held ND to a very low rushing number and they had a balanced attack last year. I know the teams are different this year but the O-line vs D-line match up is basically the same. We held Adams to 92 yards rushing but if you took away his 41 yarder where Chad Thomas and Pinckney (mostly Chad) both missed the tackle he would of only had about 51 yards rushing and the team has a whole would of only averaged 3.5 yards a carry behind that O-line which is a good sign that our D-line wasn't overwhelmed. We can NOT allow their occasional long TD run or throw. Nothing long.

My biggest concern is the QB runs on designed pass plays, our O-line vs their D-line, and making the initial tackles. Also good news for us is the guy who wrecked the game last year isn't there and neither is Linder here to destroy our O-line. If we play with the physicality we played with last game we shouldn't be overwhelmed.

I feel like the teams we have faced leading up to this game have prepared us nicely for this game. We'll be fine.

Excited!!! We are undefeated and our defense has played well every game.

Coaching staff always make adjustments and we've won several close games.

Players have shown fight every game and there is no weak mentality among us.

Depth and Next man up syndrome! See Homer, OL when Donaldson missed a game, WRs when Richards was out, etc...

We can and should win this game; however, it's still nice to be the underdog!

I drank an expensive bottle of bourbon after the fsu win, a bottle of sapphire gin for VT, and I have a 25 yr old single malt scotch waiting for the NC. I have been debating all week what to have on Saturday night. All this Catholics vs Convicts stuff has made me think of Mexico, the land of bandits, so as a Catholic I will honor Our Lady Guadalupe and the Good Thief who died next to Christ with a bottle Patron Gran Platinum. Tequila makes me a little rowdy so I guess that is how I am feeling -- like a convict.

Well, what we know is that UGA is a better team than ND. Since ND is the only team UGA played, we really don't know who good UGA is, just that it it better than ND. After Saturday, the question everyone will be asking is how much better than UGA are the Canes, because everyone will know we are better than ND and the 13 point winning spread will raise questions as to if UGA is that good since it barley beat ND. Doesn't reall matter because an undefeated Miami will be meeting and undefeated Bama in the NC game and Irish eye will be a crying.

We aren't losing at The Rock to a one dimensional offense.

If that is what u think ??? Not playing Navy or GA tech while ND is indeed run first and one of the best doing it they have improved weekly passing ball and have become more balanced. If Miami overcommits to run they will get burned on some long passes. Wimbush was #1 duel threat coming out of Hs for a reason..

So confident and pumped. We actually know we have a great chance to win this game!!! So different from years past. Everybody plays with confidence and a chip on their shoulders. We won't be denied!!!
