Possible Bruce suspension and info on AQM

I see you Pete, get close to players and "sources" then put players/program on blast.

I know you got to do you and not knocking your hustle but dam...

/Maybe I am looking at it from a completely wrong perspective (I am and have been many times before, lol) , would like to hear your thoughts on it either way

pete does not make the news, he reports it. its extremely difficult for me to understand exactly what you're upset about.

Not upset at all, just was making a honest observation. I know pete does not make the news, but Miami seems to have more than any other college fb program people try to shine the light and expose the u. Someone mentioned lebartard did same thing, build a name off back of the U. I cant knock the hustle, which I stated but I do feel a little torn when some get close to program then want to be first to bust it. I get and understand the reporting aspect.

Just seems hard as CFB is BIG business and very hypocritical and most skate rules that only seem to be enforced by few. Everyone in major college football is in on it and even local media (Bama, etc.) but our local guys (in general, not pete) seem to all look for opportunity to expose miami to "get theirs"

Especially the herald crew.

I'm not putting anybody on "blast", I'm just reporting what happened. That's my job.

Do I like reporting on stuff like that? No, I'd rather be talking about a new commitment or something like that, but the fact of the matter is what happened, happened.

And also, I don't report stuff that players tell me. That would completely break their trust and I don't step on my sources just to be first with something.

some of these kids are flat out stupid.... balls bigger then their brains really a gun(real or not).... over a trick... please. these fools cant be serious. going to cost yourself over some pussior that will and is readily available. college is a all you can f ****fest pretty much and he is worried about one piece of tail in high school.. the stupidity is overflowing this gun **** has taken too many former players and im sure will take more.

Your right, but why is UM and Richt getting in the business of disciplining kids for conduct prior to enrolling in college?

Yeah, I know, he was a "commit"....but not a college student on the team?! ****, his actual school at the time took action and the police never pressed charges?!

I'm all about discipline, but there must be more to this. As to the Walton arrest details...that's some dirty ****e right there....

UM

He was not a commit, he was a signee at that point. So as far as Richt was concerned he was a member of the team.

**** the puzzay is still undefeated. Both Young and Walton have felt the mighty wrath of the Punani.

Agree or disagree, it would appear Richt is holding players accountable from the time they submit their LOIs. From that moment, they are a representative of the program and UM at-large. Thematically, same concept as "you are PD, FD, member of military 24/7 whether you like it or not, its a life you chose...". Let me be clear, in no way am I equating football players on any level to the pressures faced by and professionalism exhibited by PD, FD, or war fighters. Just trying to connect a point that in today's always on, Facebook and video 24/7 world, the players must realize, at an age where the vast majority dont have the maturity or mental.capacity to "get it" on a long-term level, that they are on stage, on public display for everyone to see what they do every minute of each day.

Difficult world to live in...very difficult, but its what they have signed up for like it or not.

Brother Pete....

Continue to be honest, fair, and balanced. It's what you signed up for...the day you get caught otherwise is the day you lose all credibility on topics large and small.

Your currency is your integrity.

Good on you...

Agreed. Look I support Richt and I'm all for holding kids accountable but this is overkill to me. He has already been held accountable by Aquinas. Why does Richt feel the need to pile on?

I'm not that worried about a potential suspension of a true freshman for the first 1 or 2 games. Fla A+M or FAU.

The "investigating Grace's involvement" part makes me pee in my pant a little.

What Richt is doing is Leadership 101. He's new and still working to establish "how this program will be led by me". It's a centuries proven technique.

Now, we can debate the WHAT he has decided (i.e. Bruce's possible discipline), but there is little room for contrary debate on Richt's HOW.

Hopefully, Richt has set this tone for desired effects, will allow Bruce a chance to perform on/off field, then revisit his decision (if he truly suspends him in the first place) informed by Bruce's behavior and committment through now and August. Could give him leeway to remove suspension and he's eligible.

CMR is going to do a good job here, he is a leader of young men and will mature them for their futures into responsible men. He must set a precedence BEFORE things get out of control. Curby has already had eight, yes eight, arrests at UGA since he was hired. He's had to dismiss 2 players already and is probably soon to dismiss a third after his 2nd DUI offense. UGA fans will rue the day they let CMR go and A LOT of them already have, some on this forum. Let CMR do his thing...we let Al do his for 5 years, please.

Point taken. I'll buy that.

That's just what LeBatard says.

You and that fat faced **** sucker should take a page from the SEC reporters and learn when to shut the **** up for the better of the program.

Ego-driven, selfish clowns!

I'm more worried about AQM than Bruce. Richt knows what he's doing. If Bruce has to sit his first 1-2 games at UM so be it as long as he learns his lesson. I don't even understand. Half my friends went to STA and noone ever mentioned **** like this lol

please eloquently explain for the rest of us exactly how what pete reported was to the detriment of the program.

Appreciate the update.

I think it might be important for the general Herald reading popuation to understand the following:

By comparison's sake, there's a video of Miss. State 5* holding a woman down on the ground and pounding her face/head. Punishment: 1 game suspension.

I don't have a problem with Richt drawing a line and setting a high standard, though if he suspends Bruce I hope it's only one game.

MR is full of sh*t if he suspends Bruce for what he did in HS. Sorry, but that would be pure BS
