Here are fundamental questions for everyone...

1) Where do you think the line is drawn between an athletic department keeping things as "internal matters" vs releasing the information out to the general public? Remember in today's environment, public perception and actual legal requirements MANDATE this behavior for "openess" (if you dont realize that you wouldnt last 2 secs with a job in those types of organizations)

2) What are appropriate discipline measures for behavior contrary to tje standards of the AD and university? Sounds like some on here want victorian choir boys while others are ok with just running an extra lap if its discovered an athlete rapes/murders someone.

Curious to see people throw out their ideas as they have so vigorously defended/criticized Richt for the current handling of Bruce's issue.

Winston was suspended by the president of the University. Jimbo was not going to suspend him. In fact, I did not agree with the suspension. All he did was say f*ck her in the p[]_[]ssy.

I agree. He was suspended for cursing which was week. Jimbo would of played him but the President suspended him. I agree with you. Can't base suspensions off of outside perception. If the actions warrant it go for it. If not then carry on with your operations. Don't know what Bruce did but if it wasn't that serious then he shouldn't be suspended but I trust Richt. His athletes used to get in serious trouble at UGA he had to be tough. Mattenburger, Crowell, etc.

Winston being suspended for the "f♢ck her in the p♡ssy" was the culmination of a series of other incidents and behaviors that led up to their decision. It wasn't isolated to just that particular event.

Not saying he should/should have been suspended for it, but he wasn't suspended for just that.

Again, in light of all the pressures (particularly from the out of control pc police gestapo), these programs and administrators are essentially mandated to act in addressing all manners of behaviors.
