Looks like we're off to a great start! Better off having Richt set expectations up front and early.

When was the last time we entered Fall camp without some sort of controversy?

Regarding the Bruce situation, it was just a stupid picture. It could have easily been an airsoft/bb gun.
 
My son attended one of CMR's camps this summer. CMR talked about what he expects from student-athletes at least 4 times during the camp. Based on what CMR said to the campers, I would not be surprised if he holds these kids to a high standard of personal conduct.

some of these kids are flat out stupid.... balls bigger then their brains really a gun(real or not).... over a trick... please. these fools cant be serious. going to cost yourself over some pussior that will and is readily available. college is a all you can f pussyfest pretty much and he is worried about one piece of tail in high school.. the stupidity is overflowing this gun **** has taken too many former players and im sure will take more.

pete does not make the news, he reports it. its extremely difficult for me to understand exactly what you're upset about.

Not upset at all, just was making a honest observation. I know pete does not make the news, but Miami seems to have more than any other college fb program people try to shine the light and expose the u. Someone mentioned lebartard did same thing, build a name off back of the U. I cant knock the hustle, which I stated but I do feel a little torn when some get close to program then want to be first to bust it. I get and understand the reporting aspect.

Just seems hard as CFB is BIG business and very hypocritical and most skate rules that only seem to be enforced by few. Everyone in major college football is in on it and even local media (Bama, etc.) but our local guys (in general, not pete) seem to all look for opportunity to expose miami to "get theirs"

Your right, but why is UM and Richt getting in the business of disciplining kids for conduct prior to enrolling in college?

Yeah, I know, he was a "commit"....but not a college student on the team?! ****, his actual school at the time took action and the police never pressed charges?!

I'm all about discipline, but there must be more to this. As to the Walton arrest details...that's some dirty ****e right there....

Appears Richt is holding players accountable from the moment they submit their LOIs...

Tough to get these (some anyways) younger males on board with "how to live life"...but Richt is remaining consistent with the way he led UGA's program. He clearly views his roles and responsibilties (agree with him or not) as putting together a winning program AND ensuring the mentorship and accountability of the best citizens/graduates as well.

Tough needle to thread, great on him for trying.

According to a UM source, a former girlfriend informed UM about Young’s involvement.

Bruce made the photo of himself with the weapon because of a dispute with a former Aquinas male student, a dispute centered around Bruce’s ex-girlfriend.

Be careful young men, they're vicious creatures

I've made that point about Lebatard, Feast and Porter in the past. To be fair to Pete here, there's a difference between reporting "news" and investigating/generating it. As long as he stays well within the lane of the former and remains fair then he'll never have to use the "I'm a reporter/journalist first" copout as the fanbase prepares to exile him. I do understand why any Canes fan is sensitive about one of our own making their "name" (or attempting to do so) at the expense of this program though.
 
You should change your last name to ACE, or at least adopt the pen name Peter Ace.
