Position group rankings…

Do we not have the best, if not the best, top 3-5 groups at rb, db, wr and dline? Assuming we get the Duke wr.
Funny as it is, O line may be the only question if we get Mensah and Barkate. With tight ends needing to put in work just too much talent for them not to do their thing. They are young but they have the goods.

Nah it’s definitely TE as weak spot

OL is really good now, just not sure it’s “great” like we all hoped for

Top 5 QB
Top 5 RB: Fletcher will be a top 5 back and our depth is better than anyone in the country
Top 5 WR: return 2/5 best receivers in CFB and have two guys behind them who are proven with Moore and wingo in the wings. 6-7 legit players here.

Bottom TE Room: desperately need someone to breakout or lofton to remain healthy

Average to above average ACC o line: growing pains but hopefully everything’s works out by the time we play Notre dame. I expect this line to finish with 2-3 guys who are 1st or 2nd team all ACC

Top 5 DL: Wilson and moten are top end talent, top 3-5 nationally at their respective position. Hard pressed to find a deeper DL room in the country.

Above average LB room: Toure needs to stay healthy I trust heatherman to develop someone

Top 1 corner room: legit 5 / 6 guys who would start at most P4 schools

Top 5 safety room: BC kid, Fitzgerald, and Poysner is elite. I like day behind them

Nickel top 5-10: we don’t have a Scott, but we have versatile bodies. Pruitt, BC kid, D brown, day.

Roster looks good for now

OL is a concern no matter how I try and spin it. I’m sure it will get worked out and perform well, but it’s kinda ugly at the moment

Check back in 6 months on that

Running the ball over and over and quick passing will mask OL deficiencies. The downside, it takes longer to develop advanced pass blocking techniques and situational awareness over the course of the season.

But, we only need them to get hot heading into the post season.

We def have the best groups in our conference outside of LB (Clemson). We are in better shape than most. Is it a national title team? That will depend on OL development and DL regression or lack thereof.

who is the WR other than Toney that you are putting at top 5 in college football? Barkate?
