who's at CB2

It's Field, Boundary, Nickelback (word to Chad Kroeger) & Dime.

But because most college CB's rarely travel, they mostly are positioned by sides, so it's Left, Right, Nickel & Dime.

OJ should be the Field, he played most of his snaps on the Right side, but his best game was against Duke at Boundary.

Xavier played a significantly less amount of snaps than Romanas did & for the most part he wasn't nearly as good. That's not allowed to be discussed on the board, so I'll pivot on that topic.

But, between Romanas, XL, Chuxk Brantley, Ethan O'Connor & Keionte Scott, we have a 5 man rotation that can be used on both the Strong & Weak side.
OJ in the boundary makes all the sense in the world.

X, is perfect for the field, with his 10.5 speed.

Scott’s experience in the nickel, he has the skills to play the run, rush the passer, and provide solid coverage on short to medium routs.

I like Brantley in that dime spot.

Let those boys travel and maximum their natural skills.

Seems like it'll be

Wide: OJ / Brantley or O'Connor/ Antione or Fitzgerald
Short: Lucas / O'Connor / Damari
Nickel: Scott / Damari or Brantley / Ewald
Dime: Brantley or O'Connor / Damari

FS: Poyser / Markeith / Ewald
Ss: Jakobe / Day / Wallace
I just wonder if we will actually see Mack healthy at all and vie for any nickel role

Lucas is CB1. He’s better than OJ and people I need to start accepting that. But it’s a good thing because both are top-notch, but Lucas is better.
No he isn't, not yet.

If you're projecting him to be better, then that's a different discussion.

But if we're going strictly off the TF season's last year, objectively Romanas was significantly better than Lucas & played 381 snaps more than him, so the sample size is much larger extrapolated out over the season.

I can also provide a lot of evidence to support that claim, if you wanna have this debate.

OJ Freshman season was the best we've had a corner since who? I'm drawing a blank because the kid was lights out ( Minus Syracuse -- I was at that game and he was beaten like a drum)

Would have loved a 3rd transfer safety if I'm being greedy but I know that Day is going to be a factor and the staff likes him a lot.

I didn't list Damari because he's not good & hasn't been good.

Fitzy & Ewald will likely be playing Safety/STAR.
lol i knew thats your take. Thats why i listed him.

I got hope for the last two cb hauls.

Obviously im bias to cj but i like fitzgerald athleticism if they play him at cb. Lets see if his tackle game adjust.

My position on this is this, Lucas is bigger and faster, and I believe he will be the better cornerback of the two and because of that I believe he will be CB1 this year. Lucas has day one talent and potential, I don’t think OJ has that, but of course he’s still very good and I’m happy to have him on the team with Lucas as CB2.

I watched D.Brown as a true freshmen hold the first pick in the second round of the nfl draft in check. I find it hard to believe that if healthy he wont be starting

Did you also watch him vs Cuse then?
